jay49’s winning team combined immediate speed control, strong spread pressure, and several high-damage single-target options. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Modest, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, and Protect was the central special attacker, while Whimsicott supplied Prankster Tailwind alongside Encore, Fake Tears, and Moonblast. That pairing gave the team a clear fast-mode structure, with Fake Tears helping Charizard and Eternal Flower Floette push damage.
Rillaboom added Grassy Surge utility with Miracle Seed-boosted Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, Fake Out, and Protect. Basculegion’s Choice Scarf set gave jay49 another speed-based attacker, using Adaptability with Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Flip Turn. Garchomp was a Life Orb Rough Skin attacker with Stomping Tantrum, Dragon Claw, Rock Slide, and Protect, giving the team physical coverage and spread Rock Slide pressure. Eternal Flower Floette rounded out the offense with Floettite, Flower Veil, Moonblast, Light of Ruin, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect, providing another Fairy-type damage source next to Whimsicott’s support.
Across the top four, Salamence was the most visible repeated Pokemon, appearing on the teams of SelvesterTheYAK, Neogrunge, and TicTacToeGuru. Each used Salamencite with Intimidate and Tailwind, though the move choices varied between Draco Meteor, Double-Edge, Dragon Pulse, Hyper Voice, and Protect. Gholdengo also appeared twice in the top four, and both SelvesterTheYAK and TicTacToeGuru used the same core item and ability combination: Life Orb with Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect.
The Tyranitar and Excadrill pairing showed up on both SelvesterTheYAK’s runner-up team and TicTacToeGuru’s fourth-place team. Both Excadrill sets used Focus Sash, Sand Rush, Rock Slide, Iron Head, High Horsepower, and Protect, while both Tyranitar sets carried Tyranitarite, Sand Stream, Rock Slide, Knock Off, Low Kick, and Protect. Charizard plus Garchomp also appeared on both jay49’s and Neogrunge’s teams, with both Garchomp sets using Life Orb, Rough Skin, Jolly, Dragon Claw, Rock Slide, and Protect.
Item trends were concentrated around Life Orb and Focus Sash. Life Orb appeared on jay49’s Garchomp, SelvesterTheYAK’s Gholdengo, Neogrunge’s Garchomp, and TicTacToeGuru’s Gholdengo. Focus Sash appeared on jay49’s Whimsicott and on both top-four Excadrill sets.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for fast Tailwind offense, Sand Rush Excadrill structures, and Life Orb spread attackers when building for Regulation Set M-B.
