Champions' Frontier #1 results: Samu77 wins Regulation Set M-B
Champions' Frontier #1 was a 22-player online Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-B event played on Limitless on 2026-09-12. Samu77 finished first at 6-1-0, closing the final round sequence with wins over xenconic and profskarmoryyt. ProfSkarmoryYT [US] placed second at 5-2-0, while Xenconic [US] and Linus W rounded out the top 4.
| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Samu77 | 6-1-0 | Indeedee ♀, Gardevoir, Heat Rotom, Sneasler, Salamence, Basculegion |
| 2 | ProfSkarmoryYT [US] | 5-2-0 | Salamence, Basculegion, Kingambit, Rillaboom, Sneasler, Hisuian Arcanine |
| 3 | Xenconic [US] | 5-1-0 | Gardevoir, Rillaboom, Indeedee ♀, Kingambit, Basculegion, Blaziken |
| 4 | Linus W | 4-2-0 | Basculegion, Gardevoir, Pawmot, Indeedee ♀, Talonflame, Kingambit |
Samu77’s winning team combined Psychic Terrain positioning, dual speed control, and strong late-game cleanup options. Indeedee ♀ held Psychic Seed with Psychic Surge and carried Follow Me, Trick Room, Psychic, and Helping Hand, giving the team redirection, terrain, and a slow-mode option. Gardevoir with Gardevoirite, Trace, Hyper Voice, Expanding Force, Mystical Fire, and Protect was the obvious beneficiary of that structure, threatening spread damage and terrain-boosted pressure.
The team was not only a Trick Room composition. Salamence with Salamencite, Intimidate, Tailwind, Draco Meteor, Hyper Voice, and Flamethrower gave Samu77 an alternate speed-control mode, while Heat Rotom added Electroweb, Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, and Overheat with Sitrus Berry and Levitate. That gave the roster several ways to manage tempo rather than relying on one setup line.
Sneasler and Basculegion supplied the sharper endgame threats. Sneasler used White Herb with Unburden, Fake Out, Dire Claw, Close Combat, and Protect, giving the team immediate disruption and physical pressure. Basculegion carried Focus Sash with Adaptability and Aqua Jet, Last Respects, Liquidation, and Protect, making it a credible closer once trades had developed.
Across the top teams, Basculegion was the clearest shared pick: all four top finishers used it, though with different items and abilities. Samu77 used Focus Sash Adaptability, ProfSkarmoryYT [US] and Xenconic [US] both used Life Orb Adaptability, and Linus W used Choice Scarf Swift Swim. Last Respects and Aqua Jet appeared on every top 4 Basculegion set.
Gardevoirite Gardevoir also had a strong showing, appearing on the teams of Samu77, Xenconic [US], and Linus W. Indeedee ♀ with Psychic Surge appeared on those same three teams, each carrying Follow Me, Helping Hand, Psychic, and Trick Room in some order. Kingambit was another repeated top 4 piece, appearing for ProfSkarmoryYT [US], Xenconic [US], and Linus W, with Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, and Low Kick on all three sets.
The one-line takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Basculegion endgames, Psychic Surge plus Gardevoirite pressure, and Kingambit priority when building for Regulation Set M-B.
