MudByChu’s winning team combined speed control, terrain pressure, and multiple disruptive Fake Out users. Farigiraf was the central support piece, carrying Colbur Berry with Armor Tail and a Relaxed nature, plus Expanding Force, Sunny Day, Trick Room, and Protect. That gives the team a clear Trick Room mode while also blocking priority pressure around slower attackers.
Camerupt was the dedicated Mega option, using Cameruptite with Solid Rock, a Quiet nature, and Heat Wave, Ancient Power, Earth Power, and Protect. With Farigiraf enabling Trick Room and Sunny Day available on the same slot, Camerupt had a strong environment for applying spread and single-target damage. Azumarill added another slow physical threat with Mystic Water, Huge Power, Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Play Rough, and Protect, giving the team both Trick Room-compatible damage and priority cleanup.
The rest of the team kept the composition from being one-dimensional. Rillaboom brought Grassy Surge, Miracle Seed, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, Fake Out, and U-turn. Sneasler added White Herb, Poison Touch, Dire Claw, Close Combat, Fake Out, and U-turn. Together, they gave MudByChu double Fake Out and pivoting options. Dragapult rounded out the six with Life Orb, Infiltrator, and a special attacking set of Draco Meteor, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt, giving the team a faster mode outside Trick Room.
Across the top teams, Rillaboom was the defining constant. It appeared on each of the top four teams, and all listed top eight teams also used it. Miracle Seed was especially common on Rillaboom, appearing on MudByChu, darxzy, VGCDan, catpotat, and Streisten. Fake Out plus Grassy Glide remained a major structural theme.
darxzy and VGCDan also showed a very similar core: Raichu, Garchomp, Rillaboom, Incineroar, and Volcarona all appeared on both teams. Garchomp with Garchompite Z and Raichu with Raichunite Y were repeated high-finishing picks, while Incineroar continued to show value through Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot on multiple teams. Life Orb also showed up on several major attackers, including Dragapult, Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Basculegion.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare seriously for Rillaboom-based Fake Out pressure, and make sure your team has a coherent plan into both Trick Room and fast pivot cores.
