ItaloMassuco’s winning team had several clear modes rather than leaning on a single linear plan. Dragapult with Life Orb, Clear Body, and Adamant Dragon Darts gave the team immediate physical pressure, while Phantom Force and U-turn added positioning tools next to Protect. Indeedee ♀ supplied Psychic Surge, Follow Me, Trick Room, and Helping Hand, giving both redirection and speed control flexibility.
The Psychic Terrain mode was reinforced by Armarouge holding Psychic Seed, with Armor Cannon and Expanding Force as its main attacks plus Trick Room and Protect. That gave the team a strong option into games where setting Trick Room was more valuable than playing at Dragapult’s pace. Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream brought Rock Slide, Knock Off, Low Kick, and Protect, adding a durable Mega-style physical attacker and sand pressure. Meganium with Meganiumite rounded out the special side with Solar Beam, Dazzling Gleam, and Weather Ball, while Sneasler used White Herb and Unburden with Close Combat, Dire Claw, Coaching, and Protect. Sneasler’s Coaching also fit well beside the team’s physical attackers, especially Dragapult and Tyranitar.
Across the top standings, Raichu was one of the clearest recurring picks. BrazBR and kauezaovgc both used Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect, with BrazBR choosing Fake Out and kauezaovgc choosing Encore. AlistarVGC also made top 4 with Raichu, but on Raichunite X with Volt Tackle, Protect, Volt Switch, and Fake Out.
Gholdengo was another major top-table presence. BrazBR, kauezaovgc, and NMR | lil Correia all used Gholdengo with Life Orb and Good as Gold, built around Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Weather and terrain were both important themes. ItaloMassuco had Psychic Surge plus Sand Stream, AlistarVGC paired Drizzle Pelipper with Archaludon, Neves also used Pelipper and Archaludon, and lufeedutra brought Drought Torkoal. Sneasler with White Herb and Unburden appeared on the winning team, ICyriaco’s team, and lufeedutra’s team, making it one of the more notable physical support-offense picks in the upper standings.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with multiple speed-control and positioning modes, because the top teams here consistently combined Fake Out, Trick Room, Tailwind, terrain, weather, or redirection rather than relying on one plan.
