Louie John Valencia’s winning team was built around immediate offensive pressure with enough defensive utility to keep positioning stable. Venusaur carried Life Orb, Chlorophyll, and Modest with Solar Beam, Sludge Bomb, Earth Power, and Protect, giving the team a fast special attacker that could threaten several common defensive profiles. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Blaze, Modest, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Helping Hand, and Protect supplied spread damage and support, while also pairing naturally with Venusaur’s Solar Beam and Chlorophyll package.

Garchomp added the team’s main physical speed control angle through Choice Scarf and Adamant, with Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Stomping Tantrum. That gave Valencia a direct way to pressure both single targets and boards. Annihilape used Focus Sash and Defiant with Rage Fist, Close Combat, Phantom Force, and Protect, making it another physical attacker that could punish stat drops and survive to trade.
