Kevs’s winning team was built around layered pressure rather than one narrow mode. Sneasler with Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Fake Out, Quick Guard, Poison Jab, and Close Combat gave the team immediate board interaction and protection against priority-heavy turns. Incineroar added a second Fake Out user alongside Intimidate, Parting Shot, Helping Hand, and Sitrus Berry, giving Kevs several ways to slow the opponent down or amplify a partner’s damage.
The offensive core had multiple setup threats. Blastoise carried Blastoisinite with Shell Smash, Water Spout, Dark Pulse, and Protect, threatening to convert a free turn into heavy spread damage. Delphox used Delphoxite with Nasty Plot, Heat Wave, Psyshock, and Protect, giving the team another special attacker that could punish passive positioning. Kingambit rounded out the damage profile with Black Glasses, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, making it difficult for opponents to rely on Intimidate cycling without risking a Defiant boost.
Sinistcha was the glue pick. Kasib Berry, Hospitality, Rage Powder, Trick Room, Matcha Gotcha, and Protect gave Kevs redirection, recovery support, and a speed-control option. That mattered because the team could play both aggressively with Fake Out plus setup and defensively through Rage Powder, Parting Shot, and Trick Room positioning.
Across the top teams, Sneasler was the clearest shared trend, appearing on Kevs, bampu400, Flipsicle, and Gajendra_Khan. Focus Sash Sneasler showed up on Kevs and bampu400, while White Herb Unburden variants appeared on Flipsicle and Gajendra_Khan. Incineroar also remained a major stabilizer, with Kevs, Flipsicle, BLAZEO, and N_I_G_H_T all using it. Garchomp appeared on bampu400, Flipsicle, and N_I_G_H_T, almost always pairing Rough Skin with direct physical coverage and Protect.
There was also a strong preference for flexible support items. Sitrus Berry appeared on Incineroar, Farigiraf, Azumarill, Sinistcha, Basculegion, and other top-eight Pokemon, while Focus Sash showed up on Sneasler, Kleavor, Chandelure, Meowscarada, and Whimsicott. Mega Stone diversity was high as well, with Blastoisinite, Delphoxite, Meganiumite, Raichunite Y, Staraptite, Kangaskhanite, and Swampertite all represented in the top eight.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with immediate Fake Out pressure, a clear setup payoff, and at least one defensive pivot or redirection tool.
