| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Zach K [US] | 7-1-0 | Froslass, Dragonite, Incineroar, Sneasler, Kingambit, Basculegion |
| 2 | TristanBubba [US] | 6-2-0 | Garchomp, Charizard, Venusaur, Archaludon, Pelipper, Annihilape |
| 3 | Sooner [US] | 5-2-0 | Blaziken, Garchomp, Basculegion, Rillaboom, Kingambit, Gliscor |
| 4 | Vinnamon [SV] | 4-3-0 | Basculegion ♀, Scolipede, Archaludon, Pelipper, Raichu, Sneasler |
Zach K’s winning team combined multiple speed and positioning tools with direct late-game damage. Froslass with Froslassite brought Aurora Veil support while still threatening with Blizzard and Shadow Ball. Dragonite with Dragoninite added Tailwind, giving the team a second way to control pace while contributing Dragon Pulse and Heat Wave pressure. That pairing made the team flexible: it could open with support, but it was not forced into purely defensive turns.
The rest of the roster gave Zach K strong board control and punishment options. Incineroar used the familiar Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Throat Chop, and Parting Shot package with Sitrus Berry and Intimidate, helping the team manage opposing physical attackers and reset positioning. Sneasler held White Herb with Unburden and ran Gunk Shot, Close Combat, Fake Out, and Protect, giving the team another fast Fake Out user and an immediate offensive threat. Kingambit with Life Orb and Defiant supplied Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, making Intimidate and stat drops risky for opponents. Basculegion rounded out the team with Choice Scarf, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Flip Turn, offering fast pressure and pivoting.
Across the top standings, several Pokemon appeared repeatedly. Basculegion was on the first-, third-, and fourth-place teams, though Vinnamon used Basculegion ♀ with Focus Sash and Swift Swim while Zach K and Sooner both used Choice Scarf Adaptability sets. Kingambit was also a major presence, appearing on Zach K, Sooner, Return2Cinder, SpicyPastaaa, and MetalLegsSolid, with Defiant on every listed Kingambit set.
Sneasler showed up on Zach K, Vinnamon, Return2Cinder, and MetalLegsSolid, most often as a fast disruption and Fighting-type pressure piece with Fake Out or Unburden support. Garchomp appeared on TristanBubba, Sooner, and averagememer57, with both Garchompite Z and Choice Scarf represented. Weather was another notable thread: TristanBubba paired Charizard with Venusaur and also used Pelipper with Archaludon, while Vinnamon ran Pelipper with Archaludon and Basculegion ♀. SpicyPastaaa also brought Torkoal and Venusaur.
Takeaway for ladder players: prioritize teams that can stack speed control, Fake Out pressure, and immediate endgame damage without relying on a single mode.
