Amyverse VGC Champions Arena #17 results recap

Amyverse VGC Champions Arena #17 ❤️ Cash Prize! was an 82-player online Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C event played on Limitless on 2026-11-02. xubaca [BR] finished undefeated at 10-0-0, closing the final stretch with wins over Peppe and Vexoraa, while Alkai defeated zwieper in the other listed final round match.

Place Player Record Team
1 xubaca [BR] 10-0-0 Charizard, Garchomp, Kingambit, Whimsicott, Sneasler, Basculegion
2 Peppe [IT] 7-3-0 Basculegion ♀, Archaludon, Golisopod, Pelipper, Raichu, Sneasler
3 Koalelu [US] 7-2-0 Pelipper, Venusaur, Archaludon, Charizard, Garchomp, Annihilape
4 Vexoraa [ID] 6-3-0 Tyranitar, Excadrill, Sinistcha, Milotic, Staraptor, Gholdengo

xubaca’s winning team combined fast positioning tools with several direct damage threats. Charizard (Charizardite Y / Blaze / Calm) carried Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, and Protect, giving the team a strong special attacker with spread damage and coverage. Whimsicott was the clear speed-control piece, using Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect to help the rest of the team move first and punish passive turns.

The physical side was especially dense. Garchomp used Life Orb with Rough Skin and an Adamant nature, backed by Dragon Claw, Rock Slide, Stomping Tantrum, and Protect. Kingambit added a Chople Berry Defiant mode with Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Protect, giving xubaca priority and a strong answer into opposing stat-lowering plans. Sneasler brought Fake Out pressure with White Herb, Unburden, Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Protect, while Basculegion rounded out the roster with Mystic Water, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Protect. The overall structure gave xubaca multiple ways to apply immediate pressure while still having Tailwind, Fake Out, priority, and Protect across the board.

Across the top cut of the standings, weather and speed control were major themes. Pelipper appeared on both Peppe’s runner-up team and Koalelu’s third-place team, each with Drizzle and Wide Guard, while Vexoraa used Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream alongside Excadrill with Sand Rush. Tailwind also showed up repeatedly: Whimsicott on the winning team, Pelipper on Koalelu’s team, and Staraptor on Vexoraa’s team all carried it.

Several individual Pokemon repeated near the top. Basculegion appeared on the first- and second-place teams, though in different forms of pressure: xubaca used Mystic Water Adaptability with Wave Crash and Last Respects, while Peppe used Focus Sash Swift Swim with Muddy Water, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, and Protect. Archaludon was shared by Peppe and Koalelu, both using Leftovers and Stamina with Electro Shot. Charizard and Garchomp were both present on the first- and third-place teams.

Item trends were also clear. Focus Sash appeared on Whimsicott, Basculegion ♀, Venusaur, and Excadrill across the top four, while Sitrus Berry showed up on Pelipper and Milotic. Life Orb was used on xubaca’s Garchomp and Vexoraa’s Gholdengo, keeping offensive pressure high.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with reliable speed control, priority or Fake Out pressure, and clear weather plans if you want to keep pace with this Regulation Set M-C field.
