Talon's FIGHT CLUB #105 POKEMON CHAMPIONS REG M-C recap

Talon's FIGHT CLUB #105 POKEMON CHAMPIONS REG M-C was played on Limitless on 2026-10-08, with 89 players competing in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. VGCDan [GB] finished first at 11-1-0, defeating Harukiiiii [PH] in the final round match between vgcdan and harukiiiii.

Place Player Record Team
1 VGCDan [GB] 11-1-0 Raichu / Eternal Flower Floette / Rillaboom / Incineroar / Volcarona / Sneasler
2 Harukiiiii [PH] 9-3-0 Garchomp / Raichu / Gholdengo / Sneasler / Rillaboom / Volcarona
3 ronk [US] 8-3-0 Indeedee ♀ / Dragapult / Milotic / Metagross / Hisuian Arcanine / Altaria
4 Tachyon112358 [MX] 8-3-0 Sneasler / Dragonite / Delphox / Kingambit / Basculegion / Garchomp

VGCDan’s winning team leaned heavily on layered positioning tools. Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Protect, Zap Cannon, and Focus Blast gave the team a fast disruption piece that also pressured with special attacks. Rillaboom and Incineroar added two more Fake Out users, with Grassy Surge, Intimidate, U-turn, and Parting Shot giving VGCDan multiple ways to manage board states and reset momentum.

The clearest offensive engine was Sneasler with Grassy Seed and Unburden next to Rillaboom. Its set of Rock Slide, Protect, Close Combat, and Swords Dance meant it could threaten immediate damage while still having a setup route if the opponent was forced defensive by Fake Out pressure or redirection. Volcarona supported that plan well with Rocky Helmet, Flame Body, Rage Powder, Tailwind, Struggle Bug, and Overheat, combining speed control, redirection, and special damage control in one slot.

Eternal Flower Floette was the other major payoff piece. With Floettite, Flower Veil, Bold nature, Draining Kiss, Protect, Calm Mind, and Dazzling Gleam, it gave the composition a bulky special win condition that did not need to play the same tempo game as Sneasler. The result was a team that could alternate between fast pressure, Fake Out cycling, redirection, and Calm Mind endgames.

Across the upper standings, several patterns stood out. Rillaboom appeared on five of the listed top eight teams, and four of those used Miracle Seed with Grassy Surge: VGCDan, Harukiiiii, CooperKid, and NickMint. Sneasler was also common, appearing on the first, second, fourth, and sixth-place teams, with both Unburden and Poison Touch represented. Gholdengo showed up on Harukiiiii, CooperKid, and NickMint, each using Life Orb and Good as Gold with Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect.

Volcarona was especially notable in the finals pairing, as both VGCDan and Harukiiiii used Rocky Helmet, Flame Body, Overheat, Struggle Bug, Rage Powder, and Tailwind. Incineroar remained present as a flexible Intimidate pivot on VGCDan, NickMint, and oatmeal, while multiple top teams also leaned on Tailwind from Volcarona, Altaria, Dragonite, Staraptor, Pelipper, or other support slots.

Takeaway for ladder players: combine Fake Out pressure with a clear speed-control plan and at least one durable win condition, as VGCDan’s Raichu, Rillaboom, Incineroar, Volcarona, Sneasler, and Eternal Flower Floette core demonstrated.
