Jul791’s winning team combined layered Fake Out pressure with multiple scaling threats. Eternal Flower Floette used Floettite, Flower Veil, Bold, and a set of Protect, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, and Draining Kiss, giving the team a durable special win condition. Around it, Incineroar and Rillaboom supplied the familiar Intimidate, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, and pivot-style control, while Sneasler added Focus Sash, Fake Out, Poison Jab, Close Combat, and Coaching.
The physical endgame was especially clear. Kingambit carried Black Glasses with Defiant, Protect, Swords Dance, Sucker Punch, and Kowtow Cleave, punishing stat drops while threatening priority cleanup. Garchomp brought Garchompite with Rough Skin and a fast attacking set of Protect, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, and Scale Shot. The result was a team that could pressure early positioning with double Fake Out options, build board states through Calm Mind or Swords Dance, and still keep immediate damage available from Garchomp and Rillaboom.
Across the top four, several trends stood out. Sneasler appeared on all four teams, always with Focus Sash and Poison Touch, and every listed set included Fake Out, Poison Jab, and Close Combat. Kingambit also appeared on all four teams, with Defiant and Swords Dance plus Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave each time; the item split was Black Glasses on Jul791 and PintoBandito, and Life Orb on KaitoKunnnnn and Euan Legg.
Incineroar remained a major support piece, appearing on each of the top three teams with Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Careful, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, and Parting Shot. Sinistcha and Delphox formed another clear cluster in second through fourth, with Sinistcha providing Hospitality, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Protect, while Delphox used Delphoxite, Blaze, Timid, Heat Wave, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Blastoise with Blastoisinite, Rain Dish, Water Spout, Shell Smash, and Protect appeared on both third and fourth, giving those teams a different special setup angle.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Sneasler plus Kingambit cores, and make sure your team has a clear plan into repeated Fake Out pressure and Swords Dance endgames.
