MufaVGC’s winning team was a direct, flexible offense built around layered speed and positioning tools. Floette held Floettite with Flower Veil and a Modest nature, carrying Protect, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Light of Ruin. That gave the team a strong Fairy-type damage source with both spread and single-target pressure. Indeedee added Focus Sash, Psychic Surge, Expanding Force, Imprison, and Trick Room, letting the team pressure opposing setup plans while also threatening Psychic-field offense.
The rest of the six supported that plan with fast disruption and broad coverage. Choice Scarf Garchomp with Rough Skin and Adamant used Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, Dragon Claw, and Earthquake, giving MufaVGC a reliable fast attacker. Glimmora brought Life Orb and Toxic Debris with Spiky Shield, Sludge Bomb, Power Gem, and Earth Power. Charizard used Charizardite Y with Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect, while Whimsicott provided Prankster Tailwind and Encore with Occa Berry. The result was a team that could play aggressively from turn one, but still had Imprison, Trick Room, Tailwind, Encore, Protect, and Spiky Shield to manage opposing tempo.
Across the top teams, Garchomp was the clearest recurring pick. It appeared on three of the top four teams, and each of those used Choice Scarf, Rough Skin, Adamant, and the same general attacking package of Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Stomping Tantrum, and Rock Slide. Charizardite Y also showed up on both MufaVGC’s and Bart_1998’s Charizard, while darxzy also used Charizardite Y in the top eight.
Floettite was another important marker near the top, appearing on MufaVGC’s Floette and Raydevy’s Eternal Flower Floette. Raydevy paired it with Delphoxite Delphox, Life Orb Kingambit, Occa Berry Sinistcha, Sitrus Berry Incineroar, and Focus Sash Sneasler. Nofen’s fourth-place team took a different route with Staraptite Staraptor, Raichunite Y Raichu, Grassy Seed Ceruledge, Miracle Seed Rillaboom, Leftovers Primarina, and the same Choice Scarf Garchomp structure.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Choice Scarf Garchomp and Floettite Fairy pressure, and make sure your speed control plan accounts for both Tailwind and Trick Room denial.
