Jasmith12345's winning team is a flexible offensive build with multiple tempo tools. Staraptor carried Staraptite, Intimidate, Jolly, and a direct set of Brave Bird, Close Combat, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team both immediate pressure and Tailwind speed control. Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Fake Out, and Protect added Fake Out utility while also threatening damage.
The team also had a clear weather component. Ninetales used Choice Scarf, Drought, and Modest with Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, and Overheat, while Venusaur brought Focus Sash, Chlorophyll, Modest, Sleep Powder, Energy Ball, Sludge Bomb, and Protect. That gives the composition a fast disruption angle through Sleep Powder alongside sun-boosted offensive pressure from Ninetales.
Gholdengo and Primarina rounded out the team as strong special attackers with setup options. Gholdengo had Life Orb, Good as Gold, Modest, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Primarina used Leftovers, Liquid Voice, Modest, Hyper Voice, Moonblast, Calm Mind, and Protect. Between Nasty Plot and Calm Mind, Jasmith12345 had ways to convert protected positioning into late-game damage, while Staraptor, Raichu, and Ninetales helped establish the pace early.
Across the top teams, Raichu was one of the clearest repeated picks. It appeared on Jasmith12345's winning team, DG2fut's runner-up team, and several other top-eight teams, most often paired with Fake Out and Protect. Basculegion was also common near the top, showing up on DG2fut, AcidAmp, gunjou1213, Light_Kaganou, and Mahir X, with sets ranging from Focus Sash Swift Swim to Choice Scarf Adaptability.
Weather was another major theme. Jasmith12345 used Drought Ninetales with Chlorophyll Venusaur, DG2fut and AcidAmp both used Drizzle Pelipper with Archaludon, and Hrishi used Sand Stream Tyranitar with Sand Rush Excadrill. Focus Sash was also frequent among high finishers, appearing on Venusaur, Basculegion ♀, Excadrill, Pelipper, and Basculegion across the listed top teams.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with a defined speed plan, because the top teams leaned heavily on Tailwind, weather abilities, Choice Scarf, Fake Out, and fast weather abusers.
