HeroicTitan’s VGC Battle Arena results recap

HeroicTitan’s VGC Battle Arena was a 49-player online event on Limitless, played under Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C on 2026-10-14. The listed final round matches had highhonorsjacob defeating maggrosbeat and kaige, while kaige defeated frankina, but the final standings were led by ChefRich22 with a perfect 9-0-0 record.

Place Player Record Team
1 ChefRich22 [US] 9-0-0 Basculegion, Sneasler, Kingambit, Whimsicott, Charizard, Garchomp
2 HighHonorsJacob [US] 6-3-0 Gengar, Politoed, Rillaboom, Incineroar, Archaludon, Staraptor
3 Leonardo Rinaldi [BR] 5-3-0 Rillaboom, Staraptor, Milotic, Ceruledge, Raichu, Gholdengo
4 Kaige [US] 5-3-0 Kingambit, Rillaboom, Sneasler, Delphox, Eternal Flower Floette, Incineroar

ChefRich22’s winning team was built around direct speed control and heavy damage output. Whimsicott supplied Prankster Tailwind with Focus Sash, while also carrying Encore and Protect to keep tempo from slipping away. That support enabled multiple fast attackers to pressure immediately: Basculegion with Mystic Water, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, and Aqua Jet; Garchomp with Life Orb, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Dragon Claw; and Charizard with Charizardite Y, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, and Weather Ball.

The team also had strong priority and endgame tools. Kingambit brought Chople Berry, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Low Kick, giving the team a bulky physical attacker that could punish stat drops and finish weakened targets. Sneasler used White Herb with Unburden, alongside Dire Claw, Close Combat, Rock Tomb, and Protect, giving ChefRich22 another way to apply immediate offensive pressure while also influencing speed with Rock Tomb. Overall, the composition was not passive: it combined Tailwind, priority, spread damage, and strong single-target attacks to keep opponents under constant pressure.

Across the top teams, several patterns stood out. Rillaboom was one of the defining Pokemon near the top, appearing on HighHonorsJacob’s second-place team, Leonardo Rinaldi’s third-place team, and Kaige’s fourth-place team, with Fake Out and Grassy Glide showing up repeatedly. Incineroar also remained prominent, appearing on both HighHonorsJacob’s and Kaige’s top-four teams with Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot.

Kingambit and Sneasler were also important physical threats. ChefRich22 and Kaige both used Kingambit, though ChefRich22 chose Chople Berry while Kaige used Life Orb. Sneasler appeared on the first- and fourth-place teams, with different ability and item choices: White Herb / Unburden for ChefRich22 and Focus Sash / Poison Touch for Kaige.

The item and archetype spread at the top was diverse. Charizardite Y, Gengarite, Staraptite, Delphoxite, Floettite, and Raichunite Y all appeared within the top four, while common support items like Focus Sash, Sitrus Berry, Passho Berry, and Life Orb were distributed across different structures. Weather also mattered, with ChefRich22 using Charizard, HighHonorsJacob using Politoed with Drizzle, and multiple teams leaning on Weather Ball.

Takeaway for ladder players: prioritize reliable speed control and Fake Out counterplay, because the top teams paired fast pressure with sturdy positioning tools.
