LeonMagela’s winning team was built around layered setup pressure. Delphox (Delphoxite / Blaze / Timid) carried Protect, Nasty Plot, Psychic, and Heat Wave, giving the team a fast special attacker that could snowball when given space. Blastoise (Blastoisinite / Rain Dish / Modest) added another setup angle with Protect, Shell Smash, Dark Pulse, and Water Spout, forcing opponents to respect both immediate spread damage and boosted endgames.
The support structure was straightforward and effective. Sneasler (Focus Sash / Poison Touch / Jolly) supplied Quick Guard, Fake Out, Close Combat, and Poison Jab, while Incineroar (Sitrus Berry / Intimidate / Careful) brought Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Throat Chop, and Parting Shot. That combination let LeonMagela control early turns while positioning the team’s sweepers. Sinistcha (Kasib Berry / Hospitality / Bold) provided Protect, Trick Room, Matcha Gotcha, and Rage Powder, giving the lineup redirection and a speed-control mode rather than relying only on faster pressure. Kingambit (Life Orb / Defiant / Adamant) rounded the team out with Protect, Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, and Swords Dance, adding priority and a clear way to punish opposing Intimidate.
Across the top teams, Incineroar was the most obvious repeated piece, appearing on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 8th-place teams. Sitrus Berry was also common, used by LeonMagela’s Incineroar, Katz VGC’s Incineroar, Akashi’s Incineroar, JAGUARR’s Incineroar, and Alexsander Camargo’s Politoed. Fake Out support was heavily represented through Incineroar, Sneasler, Rillaboom, Raichu, and Meowstic ♀.
Sneasler was another major top-cut presence, appearing on the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 7th-place teams, split between Focus Sash / Poison Touch sets and Psychic Seed / Unburden sets. Kingambit also showed up on the 1st, 5th, and 7th-place rosters, with Defiant giving those teams a strong answer into Intimidate-heavy play. Rillaboom and Volcarona both appeared on the 2nd and 3rd-place teams, while Indeedee-based Psychic Surge structures showed up in 4th, 6th, and 7th.
Takeaway for ladder players: bring proactive setup, but pair it with Fake Out, redirection, and a concrete answer to Incineroar.
