RookideeVGC Grand Tourney results: dartsvgc wins online event

The RookideeVGC Grand Tourney ($300 PRIZE POOL) was played on 2026-10-03 on Limitless with 23 players in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. The final round saw finnzvgc defeat stormorigin, jhinting defeat die_kampfstube, and dartsvgc defeat finnzvgc, giving dartsvgc [IT] the tournament win at 7-1-0.

Place Player Record Team
1 dartsvgc [IT] 7-1-0 Indeedee ♀, Gengar, Armarouge, Meowscarada, Annihilape, Gardevoir
2 Soraxjm [US] 6-2-0 Rillaboom, Sneasler, Kingambit, Hisuian Arcanine, Salamence, Sylveon
3 FinnzVGC [IT] 4-3-0 Raichu, Garchomp, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Basculegion, Volcarona
4 Jhinting [DE] 4-3-0 Metagross, Garchomp, Incineroar, Volcarona, Rillaboom, Sneasler

dartsvgc’s winning team is built around a clear Psychic pressure core. Indeedee ♀ brings Rocky Helmet, Psychic Surge, and a full support set of Psychic, Trick Room, Helping Hand, and Follow Me. That pairs directly with Armarouge, which carries Life Orb, Flash Fire, Armor Cannon, Expanding Force, Trick Room, and Protect. With two Trick Room users and Follow Me support, the team can create controlled board states for Armarouge to attack safely.

The composition is not limited to Trick Room, though. Gengar with Gengarite adds fast special offense and utility through Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Icy Wind, and Protect. Meowscarada gives the team a fast pivot with Choice Scarf, Protean, Knock Off, Flower Trick, Triple Axel, and U-turn. Annihilape provides a physical Focus Sash attacker with Defiant, Close Combat, Phantom Force, Rock Slide, and Protect. The last slot, Gardevoir with Gardevoirite, reinforces the special attacking plan with Hyper Voice, Expanding Force, Thunderbolt, and Protect. Overall, the team combines terrain-backed spread pressure, redirection, Trick Room flexibility, and enough speed control to avoid being locked into one mode.

Across the top teams, Rillaboom was one of the defining picks. It appeared on Soraxjm’s, FinnzVGC’s, and Jhinting’s top-four teams, each time with Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge. The common move package of Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and High Horsepower also showed up repeatedly.

Incineroar remained a major support presence, appearing on both FinnzVGC’s and Jhinting’s teams in the top four with Sitrus Berry and Intimidate. Garchomp was another repeated high-finishing pick, with FinnzVGC and Jhinting both using Garchompite Z and Rough Skin. Jhinting also shared the Volcarona structure seen on FinnzVGC: Grassy Seed, Flame Body, Giga Drain, Quiver Dance, and Protect were common between the two.

Sneasler also stood out near the top, finishing second with Soraxjm and fourth with Jhinting. Both versions used White Herb, Unburden, Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Fake Out, showing how valuable that combination was in this field.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Rillaboom-centric positioning, White Herb Sneasler pressure, and flexible Psychic Terrain offenses rather than only one-speed-mode teams.
