Connor Sparks’ winning team paired immediate offensive pressure with clear speed control and multiple late-game closers. Charizard with Charizardite Y brought Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect, giving the team a strong special attacker that also enabled weather-boosted lines. Garchomp used Sitrus Berry, Rough Skin, and an Adamant set with Earthquake, Rock Slide, Dragon Claw, and Protect, giving the team spread pressure and a sturdy physical attacker.

The most defining support piece was Whimsicott. Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect gave Connor a direct way to control tempo while still threatening chip damage. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite, Flower Veil, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Light of Ruin, and Protect added a second major special threat and another spread Fairy option.

The endgame package was familiar but effective: Life Orb Basculegion with Adaptability, Aqua Jet, Wave Crash, Last Respects, and Protect, backed by Kingambit with Chople Berry, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Low Kick, and Sucker Punch.
