Raichu Tour 2026 results recap for Regulation Set M-B
Raichu Tour 2026 was a 23-player online Pokemon Champions event played on Limitless under Regulation Set M-B on 2026-07-25. The final round came down to chumchocolate vs memomiguel, with memomiguel taking the tournament. The top cut of the standings showed a fairly concentrated metagame around Lightning Rod support, Tailwind, strong physical attackers, and several Mega-style item choices.
| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | memomiguel [ES] | 6-1-0 | Pikachu, Hisuian Typhlosion, Staraptor, Whimsicott, Kingambit, Garchomp |
| 2 | Chamath A [AU] | 5-2-0 | Sceptile, Heat Rotom, Garchomp, Basculegion, Aerodactyl, Raichu |
| 3 | SuperDialga [US] | 5-1-0 | Eternal Flower Floette, Whimsicott, Basculegion, Kingambit, Hisuian Arcanine, Raichu |
| 4 | 17Cats [GB] | 4-2-0 | Raichu, Garchomp, Staraptor, Whimsicott, Eternal Flower Floette, Basculegion |
memomiguel’s winning team was built around layered tempo control. Pikachu with Light Ball and Lightning Rod gave the team Fake Out, Helping Hand, Volt Tackle, and Charm, letting it either enable a partner or reduce opposing physical pressure. Whimsicott added a second Charm user while also providing Tailwind and Encore from Prankster, giving the team multiple ways to dictate positioning before its attackers moved.
The offensive core was direct and flexible. Hisuian Typhlosion held Choice Scarf with Eruption, Overheat, Shadow Ball, and Will-O-Wisp, giving memomiguel immediate special pressure and a burn option. Staraptor with Staraptite and Intimidate brought Brave Bird, Close Combat, and Roost, while Kingambit used Chople Berry and Defiant to threaten with Kowtow Cleave, Low Kick, Sucker Punch, and Iron Head. Garchomp rounded out the team with Life Orb, Rough Skin, Protect, Stomping Tantrum, Dragon Claw, and Rock Slide, adding spread pressure and another strong physical attacker. Between Fake Out, Tailwind, Charm, Intimidate, Sucker Punch, and Choice Scarf, the team had several ways to control both speed and damage trades.
Across the top teams, Raichu was one of the defining Pokemon. It appeared on the teams of Chamath A, SuperDialga, 17Cats, ataaj83, Scrubbs, Sakicchi, and LordPika, with multiple Raichunite Y sets as well as Focus Sash and Shuca Berry variants. Fake Out was common on these Raichu sets, and Lightning Rod was consistent wherever Raichu appeared.
Garchomp was another major presence, finishing on the teams of memomiguel, Chamath A, 17Cats, ataaj83, and Sakicchi. Life Orb Garchomp appeared on both the champion’s team and other high placements, while Choice Scarf and Sitrus Berry variants also placed in the top eight. Whimsicott also stood out in the top four, appearing on memomiguel, SuperDialga, and 17Cats, with Tailwind and Encore showing up repeatedly. Basculegion placed on the second-, third-, and fourth-place teams, each using Adaptability and carrying Last Respects, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, and a fourth move or item variation.
The item trends were similarly focused: Focus Sash, Choice Scarf, Life Orb, Sitrus Berry, Black Glasses, Fairy Feather, and Kasib Berry all appeared on multiple top-eight teams. The results suggest that Set M-B rewarded teams that could combine immediate speed control with high-damage attackers and reliable support disruption.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Raichu, Garchomp, Whimsicott, and Basculegion cores, and make sure your team can play through Fake Out, Tailwind, and priority pressure.
