| 2 | JurassicJoints | 7-1-0 | Tyranitar, Excadrill, Salamence, Corviknight, Sinistcha, Wash Rotom |

| 4 | TViewier | 4-3-0 | Gardevoir, Garchomp, Hisuian Typhlosion, Sneasler, Indeedee ♀, Salamence |
culteejen’s winning team was built around a clear sand core. Tyranitar with Tyranitarite, Sand Stream, Jolly, and Rock Slide / Knock Off / Low Kick / Protect enabled Excadrill’s Focus Sash, Sand Rush package with High Horsepower, Iron Head, Rock Slide, and Protect. That gave the team immediate speed pressure and spread damage while keeping basic defensive lines intact through Protect on both.
The second major axis was Salamence with Salamencite, Intimidate, Timid, and Hyper Voice / Draco Meteor / Flamethrower / Protect. Alongside Tyranitar, it gave culteejen two high-impact centerpiece Pokemon with very different offensive profiles: Rock Slide and Knock Off pressure from Tyranitar, and special spread or single-target damage from Salamence. Sneasler added Fake Out and fast disruption potential through White Herb, Unburden, Adamant, Close Combat, Dire Claw, Fake Out, and Protect.
The support pieces were just as important. Sinistcha carried Kasib Berry, Hospitality, Bold, and Matcha Gotcha / Rage Powder / Protect / Shadow Ball, giving the team redirection and recovery utility while still threatening damage. Corviknight rounded out the six with Sitrus Berry, Mirror Armor, Careful, Bulk Up, Iron Head, Brave Bird, and Tailwind. That let the team switch between sand offense, Tailwind positioning, Fake Out turns, and Rage Powder support without relying on only one mode.
The top two teams were especially similar. JurassicJoints also used Tyranitar, Excadrill, Salamence, Corviknight, and Sinistcha, including the same Tyranitar, Salamence, and Sinistcha sets listed in the standings. The main team-slot difference was culteejen’s Sneasler versus JurassicJoints’ Wash Rotom, while Corviknight also differed in item and moves, with JurassicJoints using Leftovers, Brave Bird, Tailwind, Roost, and Bulk Up.
Across the broader top cut, several patterns stood out. Sneasler appeared on the first, fourth, sixth, and seventh place teams, though with different items and roles: White Herb, Psychic Seed, and Focus Sash were all represented. Salamence appeared on first, second, and fourth, always with Salamencite and Timid. Garchomp appeared on third, fourth, and fifth, split between Garchompite Z and Life Orb. Incineroar and Rillaboom both showed up on third, fifth, and seventh, keeping Fake Out and pivot-style support prominent among non-sand teams.
Item trends were also concentrated. Focus Sash appeared on Excadrill, Vivillon, Indeedee, Sneasler, and another Excadrill in the top eight. Sitrus Berry was used by culteejen’s Corviknight, Vybruh’s Primarina, Nevada’s Incineroar, JurassicJoints’ Wash Rotom, and others. Leftovers showed up on Incineroar, Corviknight, Kommo-o, and Snorlax.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Tyranitar plus Excadrill sand, but do not ignore Sneasler, Salamence, and Fake Out-heavy balance cores.
