TARTAN TAKEDOWN #43 results: Force_India wins Reg M-C

TARTAN TAKEDOWN #43! - [CHAMPIONS REG M-C!] was a 64-player Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C online event hosted on Limitless on 2026-10-20. Force_India [IN] finished first at 9-1-0, closing the final round with wins over vinnamon, hopscotch, and shinbu.

Place Player Record Team
1 Force_India [IN] 9-1-0 Incineroar, Charizard, Venusaur, Sylveon, Garchomp, Dragonite
2 Altkyle [GB] 7-3-0 Dragonite, Annihilape, Raichu, Gholdengo, Hisuian Arcanine, Rillaboom
3 Shinbu [ES] 7-2-0 Raichu, Eternal Flower Floette, Volcarona, Garchomp, Incineroar, Rillaboom
4 John B [GB] 6-3-0 Basculegion ♀, Pelipper, Sneasler, Raichu, Farigiraf, Archaludon

Force_India’s winning team was built around layered tempo control and immediate offensive pressure. Incineroar gave the team a stable opening piece with Passho Berry, Intimidate, Fake Out, Parting Shot, and Helping Hand. That support let the rest of the lineup trade aggressively while still having ways to reposition or boost damage at key moments.

The central offensive pairing was Charizard and Venusaur. Charizard carried Charizardite Y with Drought, using Heat Wave and Weather Ball for spread and single-target pressure while keeping Protect for board control. Venusaur took direct advantage of the weather with Chlorophyll, Life Orb, and a Modest nature, threatening Earth Power, Sludge Bomb, and Leaf Storm. That combination forced opponents to respect both speed and damage immediately.

The rest of the roster rounded out the plan without leaning on only one mode. Sylveon with Fairy Feather and Pixilate provided consistent spread damage through Hyper Voice, with Quick Attack, Moonblast, and Detect giving it flexible endgame utility. Garchomp used White Herb and Rough Skin with Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, and Protect, offering a physical Ground-type attacker that could pressure common board states. Dragonite added another major support-offense hybrid slot with Dragoninite, Inner Focus, Tailwind, Heat Wave, Dragon Pulse, and Protect.

Across the top teams, several picks stood out. Raichu was the most visible repeated support attacker near the top, appearing on Altkyle’s, Shinbu’s, John B’s, and Akatora_13’s teams, with both Raichunite Y and Raichunite X represented. Incineroar remained a major fixture as well, appearing on Force_India, Shinbu, KST| KAMPFI, and eanna_h, almost always bringing Fake Out and Parting Shot alongside Intimidate.

Rillaboom also had a strong showing, appearing on Altkyle, Shinbu, and eanna_h with Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge each time. Sneasler was another common choice across John B, Jack Purvis, KST| KAMPFI, and Akatora_13, usually paired with Unburden and either Focus Sash, Psychic Seed, Electric Seed, or White Herb. Garchomp appeared on Force_India, Shinbu, and KST| KAMPFI, showing multiple item approaches including White Herb, Choice Scarf, and Garchompite Z.

For ladder players, the key takeaway is that Regulation Set M-C teams need both speed control and Fake Out counterplay, because the top cut was packed with Tailwind, Chlorophyll, Unburden, Raichu, Incineroar, and Rillaboom.
