Mazks’s winning team used a flexible Charizard-centered structure with multiple speed plans. Charizard held Charizardite Y with Blaze and a Modest nature, carrying Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, and Protect. That gave the team a strong special attacker that could pressure both slots while still having single-target coverage through Solar Beam and Weather Ball.

The rest of the roster supported that pressure from several angles. Aerodactyl with Aerodactylite and Unnerve provided Tailwind alongside Rock Slide, Dual Wingbeat, and Ice Fang, giving Mazks fast mode access. Farigiraf added the opposite speed option with Trick Room, plus Armor Tail, Sitrus Berry, Psychic, Thunderbolt, and Protect. That combination let the team avoid being locked into one tempo.

Kingambit was the main priority-heavy physical attacker, using Focus Sash, Defiant, Jolly, Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Low Kick. Garchomp added Life Orb Rough Skin offense with Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Stomping Tantrum, and Protect. Sylveon rounded out the six with Fairy Feather Pixilate Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Protect, giving the team another spread attacker and a late-game priority option.

Across the top cut of standings shown, Charizard was one of the clearest trends. It appeared on Mazks, GforGamer, Izzywooperstan, Cole J, Bgzin, and Fantom, always with Charizardite Y. Garchomp was similarly common, appearing on six of the top eight teams, and every listed Garchomp held Life Orb with Rough Skin.

Kingambit also had a strong showing, appearing on five of the top eight teams with Defiant. Focus Sash Kingambit showed up on Mazks, Cole J, and Fantom, while GforGamer used Black Glasses and Raiyzer used Chople Berry. Farigiraf was another repeated support piece, with Sitrus Berry and Armor Tail appearing on Mazks, Izzywooperstan, Cole J, and Fantom.

Whimsicott and Basculegion were also present near the top. GforGamer and Izzywooperstan both paired Charizard with Whimsicott and Basculegion, while Bgzin used Basculegion on a rain-influenced team with Pelipper and Archaludon.

Takeaway for ladder players: Charizardite Y teams with Life Orb Garchomp and layered speed control were the defining look of this event.
