CooperKid’s winning team was a clean sand-centered composition built around Tyranitar and Excadrill. Tyranitar carried Tyranitarite with Sand Stream, using Rock Slide, Knock Off, Dragon Dance, and Protect, while Excadrill used Focus Sash, Sand Rush, High Horsepower, Iron Head, Rock Slide, and Protect. That gives the team a direct speed-and-pressure mode where Excadrill can convert sand turns into immediate board control.
The support structure made the six more flexible than a simple sand offense. Sinistcha had Kasib Berry, Hospitality, Matcha Gotcha, Rage Powder, Life Dew, and Protect, giving the team redirection and recovery support. Staraptor added Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, Brave Bird, Close Combat, and Protect, offering a second form of speed control alongside sand.
