joniaco’s winning team was built around multiple ways to create pressure while still having defensive positioning tools. Blastoise held Blastoisinite with Rain Dish and a Modest nature, using Water Spout, Dark Pulse, Shell Smash, and Protect. That gave the team a clear high-damage centerpiece, especially when supported by redirection or Fake Out.

Sinistcha was the main glue pick: Occa Berry, Hospitality, Relaxed, with Matcha Gotcha, Trick Room, Rage Powder, and Protect. It provided both speed control and redirection, letting joniaco pivot between aggressive Shell Smash or Nasty Plot lines and slower Trick Room sequences. Delphox, with Delphoxite, Blaze, Timid, Heat Wave, Psyshock, Nasty Plot, and Protect, gave the team a second setup attacker and spread damage option.

The support core was very standard for high-level Regulation Set M-B play, but effective. Sneasler ran Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Jolly, with Close Combat, Dire Claw, Fake Out, and Quick Guard, adding immediate disruption and priority protection. Incineroar carried Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Impish, with Flare Blitz, Fake Out, Throat Chop, and Parting Shot, giving the team another Fake Out user and a strong pivot. Kingambit rounded out the roster with Black Glasses, Defiant, Adamant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, punishing opposing stat drops while offering late-game priority.

The biggest trend at the top was Sinistcha. Every top-four team used it, though with different items: Occa Berry for joniaco, Coba Berry for rwzuWu and alinin, and Colbur Berry for LuckyLandia. Trick Room and Rage Powder appeared on all four Sinistcha sets, making it one of the defining support Pokemon of this event.

Incineroar also remained central, appearing on three of the top four teams with Sitrus Berry and Intimidate each time. Fake Out and Parting Shot were consistent across those Incineroar sets, showing how valuable positioning still was. Sneasler appeared on both first and second place teams with Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Jolly, Fake Out, Close Combat, and Quick Guard. Delphox with Delphoxite also appeared on the top two teams, both using Nasty Plot, Heat Wave, and Protect.

The top eight showed additional repeated structures: Sylveon with Fairy Feather and Pixilate appeared on LuckyLandia, elosodevastador, and MysticVGC02, while Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on elosodevastador, systemsolo, and MysticVGC02. Garchomp with Life Orb and Rough Skin was present on four teams from fifth through eighth.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Sinistcha-centered positioning, especially Trick Room plus Rage Powder, and bring clear plans for Incineroar and Focus Sash Sneasler.
