| 2 | AzraelXI [IT] | 6-2-0 | Swampert, Pelipper, Archaludon, Metagross, Sylveon, Grimmsnarl |
| 3 | Xilitili [FR] | 6-1-0 | Raichu, Milotic, Ceruledge, Incineroar, Sinistcha, Alolan Ninetales |
| 4 | SantVgc [IT] | 4-3-0 | Garchomp, Charizard, Kingambit, Farigiraf, Sylveon, Aerodactyl |
Animod’s winning team was built around a clear mix of immediate pressure and flexible speed control. Charizard with Charizardite Y carried Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, and Protect, giving the team a strong special attacking centerpiece. Aerodactyl with Aerodactylite added Tailwind alongside Rock Slide, Dual Wingbeat, and Ice Fang, letting Animod push faster board states when needed.
The rest of the team gave that core several ways to avoid becoming one-dimensional. Farigiraf’s Armor Tail, Sitrus Berry, Trick Room, and Helping Hand offered an alternate speed mode and support into priority-heavy positions. Kingambit with Focus Sash and Defiant supplied strong physical pressure through Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Low Kick. Garchomp brought Life Orb damage with Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Stomping Tantrum, and Protect, while Sylveon’s Fairy Feather Pixilate set used Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Protect to add spread damage and late-game cleanup potential.
The most striking trend near the top was how close Animod’s composition was to SantVgc’s fourth-place team. Both used Charizard, Aerodactyl, Kingambit, Farigiraf, Garchomp, and Sylveon, with many of the same core ideas: Charizardite Y, Aerodactylite, Focus Sash Kingambit, Armor Tail Farigiraf, and Pixilate Sylveon. The differences were mostly in item and move details, such as Animod’s Life Orb Garchomp and Fairy Feather Sylveon compared to SantVgc’s Hard Stone Garchomp and Life Orb Sylveon.
Charizard was also a major repeated pick beyond those two teams, appearing on tigerozi11’s sixth-place team and SalvyPara’s seventh-place team. Garchomp followed the same pattern, showing up on Animod, SantVgc, tigerozi11, and SalvyPara. Kingambit appeared on Animod, SantVgc, b0sserino, and TheBardo, with Focus Sash and Black Glasses both represented. Sylveon was present on each of the top two teams and again on SantVgc’s fourth-place squad, always with Pixilate and Hyper Voice.
Support items were similarly concentrated. Sitrus Berry appeared on Farigiraf, Pelipper, Incineroar, and Garchomp across the listed top teams, while Focus Sash showed up on Kingambit, Sneasler, and Alolan Ninetales. Leftovers was used on Archaludon, Milotic, and Toxapex, pointing to a separate group of bulk-oriented picks around longer games.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Charizardite Y offense backed by Tailwind, Trick Room, and priority pressure, because the winning structure was not relying on a single speed plan.
