Yegorushhka’s winning team was a fast, pressure-heavy composition with multiple ways to control positioning and tempo. Salamence held Salamencite with Intimidate and a Modest spread, using Draco Meteor, Hyper Voice, Flamethrower, and Protect to pressure both slots. Charizard carried Charizardite Y with Blaze and a Modest set of Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Ancient Power, and Protect, giving the team another strong special attacker with spread damage.
The support structure was just as important. Incineroar brought Lum Berry, Intimidate, Fake Out, Parting Shot, Flare Blitz, and Snarl, giving the team familiar tools for disruption and damage control. Whimsicott added Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect, making the team less dependent on naturally outspeeding opposing threats. Garchomp with Choice Scarf and Rough Skin supplied immediate physical offense through Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, Dragon Claw, and Rock Slide, while Life Orb Kingambit with Defiant added Assurance, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Protect as a strong punish into Intimidate-heavy games.
Across the top teams, Incineroar remained a major piece, appearing on both finalist teams with Fake Out and Parting Shot. Kingambit was also prominent, placing first and third and appearing repeatedly lower in the standings as well. Its Defiant ability and access to Sucker Punch made it a consistent offensive answer into positioning-based play.
Archaludon also had a strong showing in the top four. Duckoooo used Leftovers, Stamina, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, Electro Shot, and Protect alongside Politoed with Drizzle, while naibot2814 also used Leftovers Archaludon with Stamina, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Snarl, and Protect next to Pelipper with Drizzle. That repeated pairing highlights how valuable Drizzle plus Electro Shot structures were in this event.
Sneasler appeared on both the third- and fourth-place teams, with Unburden sets using White Herb or Electric Seed. Focus Sash was another common item across high finishes, appearing on Whimsicott, Vivillon, Armarouge, and Basculegion ♀ among the top four teams.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with a clear speed plan, because Tailwind, Choice Scarf, Unburden, and rain-boosted structures all shaped the top cut.
