PokeReplay’s winning team is a direct Tailwind offense built around immediate pressure, priority, and multiple physical attackers. Whimsicott is the clear speed engine, using Focus Sash with Prankster and a Timid nature to support with Tailwind and disrupt with Encore while still carrying Moonblast and Protect. That creates room for Basculegion, Garchomp, Sneasler, and Kingambit to apply pressure quickly.
Basculegion is one of the most threatening pieces on the roster: Mystic Water, Adaptability, Adamant, and Wave Crash give it a straightforward damage profile, while Last Respects and Aqua Jet add late-game and priority options. Kingambit adds a second priority angle with Sucker Punch, while Chople Berry helps it function into Fighting-type pressure long enough to use Iron Head, Kowtow Cleave, or Low Kick. Sneasler’s White Herb and Unburden set gives the team another fast attacker, with Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Rock Tomb covering both damage and speed control pressure.
The last two slots make the team harder to pin down. Life Orb Garchomp provides Jolly Earthquake, Dragon Claw, and Rock Slide, giving spread damage and broad coverage. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Blaze, and a Modest nature rounds out the composition with Protect, Weather Ball, Heat Crash, and Solar Beam. Overall, PokeReplay’s six lean into tempo: set Tailwind, trade aggressively, and use priority to close games before slower structures stabilize.
The top cut also showed several repeated ideas. Charizardite Y Charizard appeared on the teams of PokeReplay, Ecinj, Kiri99, X2Muz, and Force_India, making it one of the most visible Mega choices near the top. Raichu was also common, with Raichunite Y on ThunZur and X2Muz, and Raichunite X on Ecinj and Force_India. Lightning Rod plus Fake Out was a recurring support profile on those Raichu sets.
Focus Sash was another major item trend, appearing on Whimsicott, Pawmot, Venusaur, Basculegion ♀, and Excadrill across the listed standings. White Herb Sneasler also showed up repeatedly, with PokeReplay, Kiri99, and justasomeone all using Unburden Sneasler variants. Weather cores were spread throughout the standings too: Charizard teams, Politoed and Pelipper Drizzle teams, and Tyranitar plus Excadrill sand all appeared in the top eight.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for fast Tailwind offense, Charizardite Y structures, and Raichu support, because all three were well represented at the top.
