Tenki's Cart Weekly #124 - Reg M-C results recap

Tenki's Cart Weekly #124 - Reg M-C was played on 2026-10-29 on Limitless with 51 players in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. FinnzVGC [IT] finished first at 10-0-0, ahead of tovar_pk [ES] at 8-2-0. The final round match log included aus29 defeating enrivgc, tovar_pk defeating aus29, and aus29 defeating reng98.

Place Player Record Team
1 FinnzVGC [IT] 10-0-0 Delphox, Sneasler, Incineroar, Sinistcha, Kingambit, Blastoise
2 tovar_pk [ES] 8-2-0 Aerodactyl, Garchomp, Kingambit, Charizard, Sylveon, Farigiraf
3 Santi Gonzalez [ES] 6-3-0 Glimmora, Froslass, Volcarona, Rillaboom, Garchomp, Milotic
4 Aus29 [MY] 6-3-0 Charizard, Sneasler, Garchomp, Basculegion, Whimsicott, Indeedee

FinnzVGC's winning team is built around multiple pressure points rather than one linear mode. Delphox with Delphoxite has Heat Wave and Psychic for direct offense, Nasty Plot to punish passive turns, and Protect for standard positioning. Blastoise with Blastoisinite adds a second setup threat through Shell Smash, with Water Spout and Dark Pulse giving it immediate payoff after boosting.

The support structure is what makes the six look coherent. Sneasler carries Focus Sash with Fake Out and Quick Guard, giving the team early-turn control and protection against priority lines. Incineroar adds Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot, making it the team’s main pivot and damage-control piece. Sinistcha is especially important because Occa Berry, Hospitality, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Protect let it cover both redirection and speed control. That gives FinnzVGC a way to support Delphox or Blastoise setup while also shifting the pace when faster teams try to take over.

Kingambit rounds out the team with Life Orb, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect. It benefits from the same Fake Out and Rage Powder support as the other attackers, but it also gives the team a strong late-game priority option through Sucker Punch and a punish into stat-lowering effects through Defiant.

Across the top teams, Garchomp was one of the clearest trends, appearing on the teams of tovar_pk, Santi Gonzalez, and Aus29. All three used Rough Skin, Rock Slide, Dragon Claw, and a Ground-type attack, with Life Orb appearing on the #2, #3, and #4 Garchomp sets. Charizard also showed up twice in the top four, both times with Charizardite Y, Blaze, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect.

Kingambit appeared on the top two teams, using Defiant on both builds, though FinnzVGC chose Life Orb while tovar_pk used Focus Sash. Sneasler appeared on the first- and fourth-place teams, but with very different item and ability choices: Focus Sash with Poison Touch for FinnzVGC, and White Herb with Unburden for Aus29. Speed control was also widespread, with Trick Room on Sinistcha and Farigiraf, Tailwind on Aerodactyl, Volcarona, and Whimsicott, and priority or Fake Out support appearing throughout the top cut teams.

Takeaway for ladder players: the best-performing teams paired flexible speed control with layered setup support instead of relying on a single offensive mode.
