Koaleluโs winning team was built around flexible weather pressure and strong speed control. Pelipper carried Sitrus Berry with Drizzle, Tailwind, Wide Guard, Weather Ball, and Hurricane, giving the team a clear support backbone while still contributing damage. Venusaur paired Focus Sash with Chlorophyll and brought Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, Sleep Powder, and Protect, making it a direct beneficiary of weather turns and a disruptive threat into slower positioning.
The middle of the team gave Koalelu multiple ways to punish common board states. Annihilape used Choice Scarf with Defiant, running Close Combat, Shadow Claw, Bulldoze, and Rock Slide. That set offered immediate speed and spread utility without needing setup. Garchomp held Garchompite Z with Rough Skin and a Jolly nature, using Draco Meteor, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, and Protect as another fast physical pressure piece with spread damage access.
Archaludon was the slower, steadier piece: Leftovers, Stamina, Bold, and a moveset of Draco Meteor, Flash Cannon, Protect, and Electro Shot. It matched well with the teamโs weather emphasis while giving Koalelu a durable option that did not need to commit to all-out offense immediately. Charizard rounded out the six with Charizardite Y, Blaze, Modest, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Ancient Power, and Protect, adding another major special attacker and another Weather Ball user.
Across the top standings, Charizard was the most visible shared attacker, appearing on the first three teams. Pelipper also appeared on both finalistsโ teams, and both used Weather Ball, Hurricane, Wide Guard, and Tailwind on it. Venusaur was present on the top two teams, both with Chlorophyll and Sludge Bomb, though Koalelu used Focus Sash while TruiteTop used Life Orb. Archaludon was also common, appearing on both finalist teams and again on the sixth and seventh place teams, always with Leftovers and Stamina in the listed top cut.
Several recurring support patterns stood out. Sitrus Berry appeared on Koaleluโs Pelipper, toxiccrusader48โs Farigiraf, YaelWolfโs Primarina, and NietOHIโs Incineroar. Leftovers showed up repeatedly on Archaludon and also on YaelWolfโs Incineroar. Fake Out support remained important outside the winnerโs team, appearing on Incineroar, Rillaboom, and Raichu across several top-eight teams. There was also a clear split between weather-forward teams and slower positioning teams, with toxiccrusader48โs fourth-place Camerupt, Sylveon, Farigiraf, Incineroar, Rillaboom, and Raichu composition leaning on Trick Room, Fake Out, Parting Shot, and Helping Hand.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Pelipper plus Weather Ball cores, but do not ignore Fake Out positioning and Archaludonโs staying power.
