Zephyr0811โs winning team was built around heavy Psychic-field pressure and multiple fast damage modes. Indeedee โ set the tone with Psychic Surge, Colbur Berry, and a support set of Psychic, Helping Hand, Follow Me, and Protect. That directly supported two Expanding Force users: Gardevoir with Gardevoirite and Armarouge with Focus Sash. Gardevoir also brought Hyper Voice and Grass Knot, while Armarouge added Armor Cannon and Wide Guard, giving the team spread pressure and a defensive option into opposing spread attacks.
The aggressive core did not stop there. Sneasler used Psychic Seed with Unburden, pairing Dire Claw, Close Combat, Rock Tomb, and Protect for immediate pressure once boosted. Lucario carried Lucarionite Z with Flash Cannon, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, and Detect, adding another special attacker that could operate beside the Psychic core. Annihilape rounded out the six with Choice Scarf, Defiant, and four attacks: Close Combat, Rock Slide, Phantom Force, and Shadow Claw. The result was a team with redirection, terrain-based offense, multiple Protect or Detect users, and enough Fighting-type pressure to punish common Dark- and Steel-type answers.
Across the top cut, several patterns stood out. Sneasler appeared on both finalist teams, though Zephyr0811 used Psychic Seed and Unburden while Doc_MrMega used White Herb and Unburden with Fake Out, Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Coaching. Incineroar was present on the second- and third-place teams, each using Intimidate and Fake Out alongside Parting Shot. Kingambit appeared on both third and fourth, and also showed up lower in the standings on the teams of Mogu50 and Straccavgc.
Rillaboom was another repeated piece in the top eight, appearing on CloudDino, Emoolew, MudByChu, and Mogu50. Miracle Seed was used by CloudDino, Emoolew, and MudByChu, with Grassy Surge and Grassy Glide common to those builds. Glimmora with Glimmoranite appeared on both CloudDino and Emoolew, each with Toxic Debris and the same attacking core of Sludge Bomb, Power Gem, and Earth Power. Focus Sash also showed up repeatedly, including on Armarouge, Excadrill, Kingambit, and Hisuian Arcanine.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Psychic Surge offense, Sneasler pressure, and the recurring Fake Out cores built around Incineroar and Rillaboom.
