M_rada’s winning team was built around strong board control and repeated disruption. Gengar with Gengarite, Cursed Body, and Perish Song gave the team a clear endgame angle, backed by Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, and Protect rather than a purely supportive set. Around it, M_rada stacked several ways to slow the game down and deny clean positioning: Snorlax carried Yawn, Encore, Fissure, and Protect with Leftovers and Thick Fat, while both Incineroar and Scrafty supplied Intimidate and Fake Out.
The double Intimidate structure was a major part of the team’s identity. Incineroar used Sitrus Berry with Flare Blitz, Parting Shot, Fake Out, and Protect, giving M_rada a consistent pivot and damage-control piece. Scrafty added a second Fake Out, Focus Sash, Close Combat, Knock Off, and Protect, offering a different defensive profile while still contributing to the same tempo plan. Rillaboom completed the pivot-heavy support core with Eject Button, Grassy Surge, Grassy Glide, U-turn, Fake Out, and Protect.
Dragonite was the main immediate physical attacker, using Life Orb, Inner Focus, Dragon Claw, Low Kick, Extreme Speed, and Protect. That set fit neatly next to the rest of the team: it could pressure targets while the support pieces forced awkward turns through Fake Out, Intimidate, Parting Shot, Yawn, Encore, and Perish Song.
Across the top standings, Incineroar and Rillaboom were two of the clearest trends. Incineroar appeared on the teams of M_rada, Yegorushhka, Cactusmax, Andreabenedetti0, and zrofs, usually combining Intimidate with Fake Out and Parting Shot. Rillaboom also showed up repeatedly, appearing on M_rada, Erinus, Cactusmax, Andreabenedetti0, and zrofs, with Grassy Surge plus Grassy Glide and Fake Out as common threads.
There was also a noticeable cluster around Garchomp with Garchompite Z: KingNoahC17, Andreabenedetti0, and zrofs all used it with Rough Skin and special attacking coverage including Earth Power and Power Gem. Raichu with Raichunite Y was another repeated choice, appearing on Yegorushhka, Andreabenedetti0, and zrofs. Sitrus Berry remained a common stabilizing item, including on M_rada’s Incineroar, KingNoahC17’s Pelipper, Yegorushhka’s Farigiraf, JurassicJoints’s Wash Rotom, Cactusmax’s Incineroar, Andreabenedetti0’s Incineroar, and zrofs’s Incineroar.
Takeaway for ladder players: M_rada’s run shows how effective layered Fake Out, Intimidate, pivoting, and a defined Perish Song endgame can be in Regulation Set M-C.
