| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | satryo parikesit [ID] | 9-1-0 | Eternal Flower Floette / Salamence / Basculegion / Kingambit / Rillaboom / Sneasler |
| 2 | TraceofLife [ID] | 9-1-0 | Salamence / Eternal Flower Floette / Sneasler / Kingambit / Basculegion / Rillaboom |
| 3 | ABHIGOD [AU] | 6-3-0 | Charizard / Pelipper / Venusaur / Archaludon / Garchomp / Grimmsnarl |
| 4 | Aldrich [ID] | 6-3-0 | Lycanroc / Tyranitar / Annihilape / Armarouge / Salamence / Indeedee ♀ |
satryo parikesit’s winning team was built around a very direct offensive core with multiple forms of pressure and priority. Eternal Flower Floette held Floettite with Flower Veil and a Modest nature, giving the team strong Fairy damage through Light of Ruin, Moonblast, and Dazzling Gleam while still keeping Protect. Salamence with Salamencite and Intimidate added a second major special attacker, using Draco Meteor, Hyper Voice, Flamethrower, and Protect from a Timid spread.
The rest of the team gave satryo plenty of ways to control short games. Choice Scarf Basculegion with Adaptability threatened immediate damage with Wave Crash and could pivot with Flip Turn, while Last Respects and Aqua Jet gave it late-game and priority options. Kingambit used Black Glasses with Defiant, Swords Dance, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, and Protect, making it a clear punish into stat drops and a dangerous endgame piece. Rillaboom supplied Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, U-turn, and Wood Hammer with Miracle Seed, while Sneasler added another Fake Out user alongside Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Feint.
The most obvious trend was how closely the top two teams mirrored each other. satryo parikesit and TraceofLife both used Eternal Flower Floette, Salamence, Sneasler, Kingambit, Basculegion, and Rillaboom, with different item and move choices around the same six-Pokemon shell. Eternal Flower Floette also appeared on Nolan_Mcallen’s eighth-place team, reinforcing Floettite as a major part of the event’s upper standings.
Salamence was another defining pick, appearing on the first-, second-, fourth-, and seventh-place teams, always with Salamencite in those listed teams. Rillaboom was also common, appearing in first, second, sixth, seventh, and eighth, and every listed Rillaboom used Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge. Sneasler showed up on first, second, and eighth with Focus Sash and Poison Touch, while Kingambit placed first, second, fifth, and eighth with Defiant.
There was still room for different archetypes near the top. ABHIGOD’s third-place team combined Charizard, Pelipper, Venusaur, Archaludon, Garchomp, and Grimmsnarl, including both Charizardite Y and Drizzle Pelipper. Aldrich’s fourth-place team used a sand package with Lycanroc and Tyranitar, plus Choice Scarf Annihilape, Armarouge, Salamence, and Indeedee ♀.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare seriously for Eternal Flower Floette plus Salamence cores, and respect the Fake Out and priority layers around Rillaboom, Sneasler, Basculegion, and Kingambit.
