Mohammad Libao’s winning team was built around a flexible balance core with multiple ways to pressure positioning. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite, Flower Veil, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, and Protect gave the team a Fairy-type setup piece that could stay on the field and convert board control into recovery. Garchomp used Garchompite Z with a special attacking set of Draco Meteor, Flamethrower, and Power Gem, giving the team immediate coverage without relying on standard physical damage patterns.

Rillaboom was the central support piece: Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, High Horsepower, and U-turn compressed terrain control, priority, pivoting, and Fake Out into one slot. Palafin added speed control pressure through Choice Scarf and From Zero to Hero, with Flip Turn helping it cycle while Liquidation, Close Combat, and Ice Punch kept its attacking range broad. Kingambit provided a second setup angle with Black Glasses, Defiant, Swords Dance, Kowtow Kleave, Sucker Punch, and Protect, while Ceruledge rounded out the six with Colbur Berry, Flash Fire, Bitter Blade, Shadow Sneak, Bulk Up, and Protect.

The clearest trend near the top was the Eternal Flower Floette, Garchomp, Rillaboom, and Kingambit structure shared by first and second place. LawrenceVGC J used the same first four Pokemon, then added Sneasler and Incineroar for Grassy Seed, Unburden, Intimidate, Parting Shot, and extra Fake Out pressure. Rillaboom was especially common across the listed top teams, appearing in first, second, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh, with Miracle Seed and Eject Button both represented.

Kingambit also showed up in first, second, and fourth, though with different items: Black Glasses, Life Orb, and Focus Sash. Incineroar remained a major support pick in the wider top cut, appearing on second, fifth, sixth, and seventh with Sitrus Berry or Passho Berry. Gengar appeared in third, fifth, and sixth, including both Gengarite variants shown in the standings. Weather and terrain modes were also present: Tyranitar and Excadrill in third, Gardevoir with Indeedee ♀ in fourth, and rain structures with Politoed or Pelipper in fifth and sixth.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Rillaboom-backed balance cores that combine Fake Out, priority, setup, and repeated pivoting.
