PokeInstinct VGC #3 results: Lithic wins Set M-C event
PokeInstinct VGC #3 ($30 USD for the winner) was a 91-player online Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C tournament played on Limitless on 2026-09-19. The final round came down to lithic vs bylanxx, with lithic taking the event and finishing first in the standings.
| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lithic [FR] | 10-2-0 | Indeedee, Sneasler, Milotic, Tyranitar, Excadrill, Salamence |
| 2 | BylanXx | 9-3-0 | Indeedee ♀, Maushold, Sinistcha, Sneasler, Blastoise, Delphox |
| 3 | Aro [ES] | 9-2-0 | Gengar, Incineroar, Politoed, Rillaboom, Vivillon, Archaludon |
| 4 | Akash VGC [IN] | 8-3-0 | Staraptor, Raichu, Gholdengo, Rillaboom, Hisuian Arcanine, Sylveon |
Lithic’s winning team had several clear modes without leaning on a single linear plan. Indeedee with Choice Scarf, Psychic Surge, Expanding Force, Protect, Hyper Voice, and Trick gave the team immediate Psychic Terrain pressure while also threatening item disruption. Sneasler used White Herb with Unburden, Fake Out, Protect, Dire Claw, and Close Combat, giving Lithic a fast physical attacker that also contributed early positioning pressure.
The sand core was just as important. Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream paired directly with Focus Sash Excadrill and Sand Rush, giving the team Rock Slide pressure from both slots and strong Ground- and Steel-type coverage through High Horsepower and Iron Head. Tyranitar’s Knock Off and Low Kick also meant it was not just a weather setter; it had practical utility into a range of board states.
Milotic and Salamence rounded out the composition with balance tools. Milotic’s Leftovers, Competitive, Coil, Recover, Scald, and Hypnosis gave Lithic a slower, more durable route through games, especially when opponents had to respect sleep and recovery. Salamence with Salamencite, Intimidate, Hyper Voice, Draco Meteor, Protect, and Tailwind supplied speed control and special pressure, making the team less dependent on Sand Rush as its only way to move first.
Across the top cut of the standings, Psychic Terrain was a major theme. Lithic won with Indeedee, while BylanXx and Mario_Lemon both used Indeedee ♀ with Psychic Surge and Follow Me. Sneasler also showed up near the top, appearing on both finalist teams and again on GlowGameplay’s seventh-place team, though with different items and abilities across those builds.
Rillaboom was another repeated presence, appearing on Aro [ES], Akash VGC [IN], GlowGameplay [GB], and lumale73 [ES]. Grassy Surge plus Fake Out and Grassy Glide remained a consistent package, with Miracle Seed, Eject Button, and Life Orb all represented. Focus Sash was also common across top teams, appearing on Excadrill, Sneasler, Vivillon, Hisuian Arcanine, Glimmora, and another Sneasler among the listed top eight.
Mega choices were diverse rather than centralized. The top four alone featured Tyranitarite, Blastoisinite, Delphoxite, Gengarite, Staraptite, and Raichunite Y, while Salamencite also appeared on both Lithic and lumale73’s teams. That spread suggests the format rewarded flexible team structures more than a single dominant Mega slot.
Takeaway: ladder players should prepare for Psychic Terrain offense, Rillaboom support, and fast Fake Out pressure while keeping a clear plan into sand.
