| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | eternalton [DE] | 9-2-0 | Raichu, Gholdengo, Rillaboom, Sylveon, Staraptor, Hisuian Arcanine |
| 2 | Cecil9 [GB] | 9-2-0 | Hisuian Arcanine, Rillaboom, Eternal Flower Floette, Gholdengo, Raichu, Garchomp |
| 3 | RyukeiVGC | 8-2-0 | Sylveon, Farigiraf, Garchomp, Charizard, Kingambit, Rillaboom |
| 4 | Tachyon112358 [MX] | 7-3-0 | Garchomp, Rillaboom, Sneasler, Gholdengo, Hisuian Arcanine, Raichu |
eternaltonโs winning team was built around layered offensive pressure with several forms of speed and tempo control. Raichu provided Lightning Rod support and Fake Out, while still threatening damage through Zap Cannon and Focus Blast. Rillaboom added a second Fake Out user, Grassy Surge, and priority through Grassy Glide, giving the team strong board control without slowing down its damage output.
The main special attackers were Gholdengo and Sylveon. Gholdengo held Life Orb with Good as Gold, using Shadow Ball, Make It Rain, Nasty Plot, and Protect, which gave eternalton a clear setup route when opponents could not immediately pressure it. Sylveon used Fairy Feather and Pixilate with Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Detect, offering spread damage plus priority cleanup. Together, they forced opponents to respect both immediate spread pressure and late-game positioning.
Staraptor and Hisuian Arcanine rounded out the team with physical pressure and utility. Staraptor brought Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, Brave Bird, and Close Combat, giving the team both speed control and strong direct attacks. Hisuian Arcanine used Focus Sash with Rock Head, Protect, Extreme Speed, Head Smash, and Flare Blitz, making it difficult to remove cleanly while still threatening high damage and priority.
Across the top cut of standings, several Pokemon clearly defined the eventโs upper tables. Rillaboom appeared on all of the top four teams, with Grassy Surge and Fake Out repeatedly paired with Grassy Glide. Raichu was also highly represented, appearing on three of the top four teams, each time with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Fake Out, and Protect in some order.
Gholdengo appeared on the championโs team, the runner-upโs team, and fourth place, always with Good as Gold and the same core of Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Hisuian Arcanine also appeared on three of the top four teams, each using Focus Sash, Rock Head, Extreme Speed, Head Smash, Flare Blitz, and Protect. Garchomp was present on second, third, and fourth, though with different items: Choice Scarf on Cecil9 and RyukeiVGC, and Garchompite Z on Tachyon112358.
The broader top eight still showed variety, including Charizard builds, Indeedee Psychic Surge teams, Sneasler, Kingambit, Salamence, and Basculegion, but the very top was heavily shaped by Rillaboom, Raichu, Gholdengo, and Hisuian Arcanine cores.
For ladder players, the clearest takeaway is that Fake Out plus priority pressure remains one of the most reliable ways to support powerful setup and spread attackers in Regulation Set M-C.
