dartsvgc’s winning team is a flexible offense built around multiple speed and positioning tools rather than one narrow mode. Basculegion carried Choice Scarf with Adaptability and Jolly, giving the team immediate pressure through Last Respects, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, and Flip Turn. That set can attack quickly, pick off targets with priority, or pivot out to reset board position.
Sneasler was another major tempo piece. White Herb with Unburden and Jolly lets it threaten fast Close Combat and Poison Jab while still bringing Fake Out and Coaching support. Tyranitar added a second physical win condition with Tyranitarite, Sand Stream, Dragon Dance, Rock Slide, Knock Off, and Protect. Between Coaching and Dragon Dance, the team had ways to turn neutral board states into immediate offensive pressure.
The support structure was also notable. Scovillain used Scovillainite with Moody and a Bold Rage Powder set, pairing redirection with Overheat, Giga Drain, and Protect. Corviknight brought Occa Berry, Mirror Armor, Tailwind, Roost, and two attacks, giving the team a speed-control option that was not dependent on Sneasler. Sylveon rounded out the six with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Detect, adding spread damage and another priority option.
Across the top cut, Sneasler was the clearest recurring Pokemon. It appeared on each of the top four teams and continued through the listed top eight. The sets varied between White Herb / Unburden and Focus Sash / Poison Touch, but Fake Out plus strong Fighting- and Poison-type coverage was a common theme.
Basculegion also had a strong showing, appearing on the winning team as well as dialghite, Beni1, and Javycamach. Adaptability was consistent across those Basculegion sets, with Last Respects, Wave Crash, and Aqua Jet appearing repeatedly. Kingambit was another major presence, especially on teams placing second, third, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth, nearly always built around Defiant and priority Sucker Punch.
Support items and defensive tech were concentrated as well. Occa Berry appeared on dartsvgc’s Corviknight and on Sinistcha for both Nes7a and Fr33z. Sitrus Berry showed up on Incineroar for Nes7a and Fr33z, while Focus Sash was a common way to keep key support or pressure Pokemon active. Sinistcha, Incineroar, and Delphox all appeared on multiple high-placing teams, pointing to a metagame where redirection, Fake Out, Parting Shot, Trick Room, and Nasty Plot pressure all mattered.
Ladder takeaway: prepare for Sneasler-backed offense first, then make sure your team has a real plan for Basculegion priority and Kingambit endgames.
