DonVGC’s winning team is built around layered positioning rather than a single linear mode. Politoed brings Drizzle with Leftovers and a Modest set of Protect, Weather Ball, Perish Song, and Ice Beam, giving the team weather control and a clear late-game route through Perish Song. Basculegion is the immediate pressure piece: Choice Scarf, Adaptability, Jolly, and a move set of Last Respects, Flip Turn, Wave Crash, and Aqua Jet let it threaten damage while also pivoting with Flip Turn.
The support core is also important. Sinistcha carries Kasib Berry with Hospitality and a Bold Trick Room, Rage Powder, Matcha Gotcha, Life Dew set, giving DonVGC redirection, recovery, and speed control from the same slot.
