LexiconVGC’s winning team was built around flexible weather pressure. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Blaze, Modest, and Protect, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam gave the team immediate special offense and sun-based pressure. Venusaur with Focus Sash and Chlorophyll complemented that mode with Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, and Earth Power, giving the team speed control through ability-based acceleration rather than relying only on Tailwind.

The second weather mode came from Pelipper with Sitrus Berry, Drizzle, Hurricane, Weather Ball, Tailwind, and Wide Guard. That supported Basculegion, which used Choice Scarf, Adaptability, and Jolly with Flip Turn, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, and Last Respects. The result was a team that could shift between Charizard-centered sun offense, Pelipper-enabled positioning, and late-game Basculegion cleanup.

Grimmsnarl was the stabilizer. Light Clay, Prankster, Spirit Break, Reflect, Light Screen, and Parting Shot gave LexiconVGC a clear way to control damage output and create safer turns for the weather attackers. Archaludon rounded out the composition with Leftovers, Stamina, Calm, Protect, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, and Flash Cannon, adding a durable special attacker that also benefited from the rain side of the team.

Across the top standings, Charizard was the defining presence. The entire top five used Charizard with Charizardite Y, and it also appeared on Wb_vg’s and mudhiman’s teams in the top eight. Venusaur was similarly common, appearing on seven of the top eight teams, usually with Chlorophyll and Modest. That pairing was not limited to one exact six-Pokemon shell: Desu and PadoVGC paired Charizard and Venusaur with Garchomp, Incineroar, Toxapex, and Annihilape, while LexiconVGC, MyStarseiei, Wb_vg, and mudhiman used the Charizard, Venusaur, Grimmsnarl, Archaludon, Pelipper, Basculegion structure.

Items were also highly concentrated. Charizardite Y was everywhere near the top, Light Clay repeatedly appeared on Grimmsnarl, Sitrus Berry appeared on Pelipper and Incineroar, and Leftovers appeared on Archaludon and Toxapex. Basculegion sets split between Choice Scarf with Adaptability and Life Orb with Swift Swim, showing two different ways to convert weather turns into offensive pressure.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Charizardite Y plus Venusaur first, but do not ignore the rain pivots and screen support that let these teams play beyond a single weather mode.
