˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour results recap

The ˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour was a 17-player online event on Limitless, played in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C on 2026-11-05. Altkyle finished first at 6-1-0, winning final-round matches over queercrocodile and mhighqal123, while queercrocodile also defeated braxtonbo2025 in the closing round.

Place Player Record Team
1 Altkyle [GB] 6-1-0 Dragonite, Annihilape, Raichu, Gholdengo, Hisuian Arcanine, Rillaboom
2 QueerCrocodile [US] 6-1-0 Kingambit, Primarina, Hisuian Arcanine, Rillaboom, Raichu, Staraptor
3 MHighQal123 [MY] 3-3-0 Sneasler, Staraptor, Indeedee, Archaludon, Incineroar, Raichu
4 braxtonbo2025 [US] 3-3-0 Kangaskhan, Blastoise, Farigiraf, Torkoal, Vivillon, Basculegion

Altkyle’s winning team leaned into direct pressure with multiple layers of speed and positioning support. Dragonite carried Dragoninite with Inner Focus and a Modest set of Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team a Tailwind setter that did not need to be purely supportive. Raichu with Raichunite Y and Lightning Rod added Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect, combining disruption with Electric redirection support.

The offensive core was especially compact. Life Orb Gholdengo with Good as Gold used Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect, threatening immediate spread damage while still having a setup option. Annihilape’s Choice Scarf and Defiant gave Altkyle a fast physical attacker with Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Ice Punch, and Rock Tomb. Hisuian Arcanine, holding Focus Sash with Rock Head, brought Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect. Rillaboom rounded out the team with Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and High Horsepower, adding priority, terrain, and another Fake Out user.

Across the top teams, Raichu was the clearest repeated pick. Altkyle, QueerCrocodile, and MHighQal123 all used Raichu, and the top two both used Raichunite Y with Lightning Rod, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Protect, and Fake Out appearing between their sets. Hisuian Arcanine was also shared by the finalists with the same Focus Sash, Rock Head, Jolly structure and the same four moves: Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect.

Rillaboom appeared on both finalist teams as well, each with Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge. Fake Out was a major theme, showing up on Altkyle’s Raichu and Rillaboom, QueerCrocodile’s Rillaboom and Raichu, MHighQal123’s Incineroar, and braxtonbo2025’s Kangaskhan and Blastoise. The top four also showed varied speed control: Tailwind on Dragonite and Staraptor, Trick Room on Farigiraf, and Choice Scarf users in Indeedee and Vivillon.

Takeaway for ladder players: prioritize flexible Fake Out support and clear speed control, then pair it with attackers that can immediately convert positioning into damage.
