kodoku’s winning team was built around rain, speed pressure, and multiple layers of disruption. Pelipper with Damp Rock and Drizzle extended the weather plan, while Weather Ball, Hurricane, Wide Guard, and Helping Hand gave it both offensive and support value. That rain directly enabled Archaludon’s Electro Shot and Basculegion ♀ with Swift Swim, Focus Sash, Muddy Water, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, and Protect.
Raichu was a major glue piece. With Raichunite X, Lightning Rod, Jolly, Volt Tackle, Volt Switch, Feint, and Fake Out, it gave kodoku immediate positioning tools while also protecting key partners from Electric pressure. Sneasler with Electric Seed and Unburden added a fast physical threat that could snowball with Swords Dance, backed by Poison Jab, Close Combat, and Protect. Golisopod rounded the team out with Golisopite, Emergency Exit, Leech Life, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Protect, giving the squad another physical attacker and priority option.
The top cut showed a clear preference for proactive support pieces. Rillaboom appeared on abp123, Vybruh, 1vwl, tanyue, and Silverland, often carrying Fake Out and Grassy Glide alongside Grassy Surge. Raichu also had a strong showing, appearing on kodoku, PapaRott, and tanyue, with both Raichunite X and Raichunite Y represented. Pelipper showed up on the top two teams, though with different items: kodoku used Damp Rock, while abp123 used Focus Sash.
Several repeated items stood out across the upper standings. Focus Sash appeared on Basculegion ♀, Pelipper, Vivillon, Hisuian Arcanine, Excadrill, and Sneasler. Sitrus Berry was used on Primarina, Farigiraf, Milotic, Incineroar, Hydreigon, and others in the top eight. Miracle Seed was a common Rillaboom item on Vybruh, 1vwl, and tanyue, while Leftovers appeared on Archaludon, Incineroar, and Milotic.
The broader field also had several different speed-control approaches. Tailwind appeared on Pelipper, Staraptor, Salamence, and Volcarona. Trick Room appeared on Farigiraf and Indeedee ♀. Weather was not limited to rain, as 1vwl brought Tyranitar with Sand Stream and Excadrill with Sand Rush.
Takeaway for ladder players: Regulation Set M-C rewards teams that combine immediate Fake Out pressure with a clear speed plan and flexible defensive positioning.
