| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | naibot2814 [PE] | 8-1-0 | Dragonite, Raichu, Sneasler, Rillaboom, Primarina, Kingambit |
| 2 | LaMerlusita [ES] | 7-2-0 | Farigiraf, Camerupt, Crabominable, Gallade, Primarina, Kingambit |
| 3 | macarrones [ES] | 5-3-0 | Archaludon, Grimmsnarl, Pelipper, Garchomp, Charizard, Venusaur |
| 4 | xurxetee [ES] | 5-3-0 | Froslass, Incineroar, Basculegion, Glimmora, Rillaboom, Volcarona |
naibot2814’s winning team combined immediate speed control, priority pressure, and multiple setup options. Dragonite held Dragoninite with Inner Focus and a Modest set of Dragon Pulse, Heat Wave, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team a special attacker that could also set Tailwind. Raichu with Raichunite X added Lightning Rod support and the utility package of Volt Tackle, Volt Switch, Fake Out, and Feint.
The rest of the team was built to punish passive turns. Sneasler carried Electric Seed with Unburden and an Adamant Dire Claw, Close Combat, Swords Dance, Protect set. Rillaboom used Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and U-turn, adding another Fake Out user and strong priority. Primarina was the slower, more durable special threat with Leftovers, Liquid Voice, Hyper Voice, Moonblast, Protect, and Calm Mind. Kingambit rounded out the squad with Life Orb, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, giving the team another setup attacker and late-game priority.
A key trend near the top was the overlap between Primarina and Kingambit. Both appeared on the first- and second-place teams, though with different items and roles: naibot2814 used Leftovers Primarina and Life Orb Kingambit, while LaMerlusita used Life Orb Primarina and Chople Berry Kingambit. Rillaboom also appeared twice in the top four, on naibot2814 and xurxetee, both with Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Wood Hammer, U-turn, Grassy Glide, and Fake Out.
The weather and screen structure from macarrones also showed up elsewhere in the standings. macarrones and MeraKy brought the same six Pokemon: Archaludon, Charizard, Pelipper, Venusaur, Grimmsnarl, and Garchomp. Pablisus also used Venusaur, Politoed, Grimmsnarl, Raichu, Archaludon, and Charizard. Across those teams, Leftovers Archaludon, Light Clay Grimmsnarl, Focus Sash Venusaur, and Charizardite Y Charizard were repeated choices.
For ladder players, the takeaway is simple: in Set M-C, strong teams are still leaning heavily on Fake Out, priority, flexible speed control, and setup threats that can convert one protected turn into a winning board state.
