Talon's FIGHT CLUB #106 POKEMON CHAMPIONS REG M-C results

Talon's FIGHT CLUB #106 POKEMON CHAMPIONS REG M-C was a 110-player online event on Limitless played under Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. The final round match was oatmeal vs ander_arch, with ander_arch winning. In the published standings, Andrew Rings finished first at 11-1-0.

Place Player Record Team
1 Andrew Rings [US] 11-1-0 Charizard, Venusaur, Farigiraf, Garchomp, Incineroar, Sylveon
2 oatmeal [US] 9-3-0 Gengar, Rillaboom, Incineroar, Kommo-o, Politoed, Golisopod
3 MuncH [ID] 10-1-0 Staraptor, Archaludon, Raichu, Gholdengo, Politoed, Grimmsnarl
4 Tachyon112358 [MX] 8-3-0 Incineroar, Kingambit, Sinistcha, Sneasler, Eternal Flower Floette, Delphox

Andrew Rings’ winning list was built around Charizard with Charizardite Y and Venusaur with Chlorophyll, giving the team a clear fast mode backed by strong spread and single-target pressure. Charizard’s Heat Wave and Weather Ball gave it immediate damage, while Ancient Power and Protect rounded out a straightforward offensive set. Venusaur paired naturally with that structure, using Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, Sleep Powder, and Protect with Focus Sash to keep pressure even in volatile positions.

The rest of the team gave the Charizard-Venusaur core several ways to operate outside of pure speed. Farigiraf brought Armor Tail, Helping Hand, and Trick Room, letting the team deny priority while also creating a slower mode when needed. Garchomp with Choice Scarf added fast physical coverage through Earthquake, Rock Slide, Stomping Tantrum, and Dragon Claw. Incineroar supplied the familiar Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot package, while Sylveon gave the team Pixilate Hyper Voice pressure plus Yawn and Detect. Overall, the composition had sun offense, speed control, Fake Out support, priority denial, and a Trick Room option without overcommitting to any single plan.

Across the top standings, Incineroar remained one of the defining support Pokemon. It appeared on Andrew Rings’ first-place team, oatmeal’s runner-up team, Tachyon112358’s fourth-place team, and WestyLiam’s eighth-place team, with Fake Out and Parting Shot showing up repeatedly. Chople Berry was used on both Andrew Rings’ and oatmeal’s Incineroar, while Sitrus Berry appeared on Tachyon112358’s and WestyLiam’s versions.

Sneasler was another major presence in the upper cut of the standings, appearing on the fourth-, fifth-, sixth-, and seventh-place teams with Fake Out and Close Combat across all four. Kingambit also stood out, appearing on Tachyon112358, daikyh, and Wacka’s teams, consistently leaning on Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave. Rillaboom showed up on oatmeal, daikyh, and Wacka’s rosters, keeping Grassy Surge and Fake Out relevant near the top.

Weather was also well represented. Andrew Rings and WestyLiam both used Charizard with Charizardite Y alongside Venusaur, while oatmeal and MuncH both brought Politoed with Drizzle. That split between sun and rain gave the top 8 a clear weather presence without one version monopolizing the event.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Incineroar support, Sneasler pressure, and flexible weather cores that can pivot between fast offense and positional play.
