Sunday Sabong #4 recap: Ejen Red wins results from Regulation Set M-C

Sunday Sabong #4 was a 13-player online Pokemon Champions tournament played on Limitless on 2026-10-11 under Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. The final round was listed as aquaaa vs ej3n, with ej3n taking the win. In the final standings, Ejen Red [PH] finished first at 6-2-0.

Place Player Record Team
1 Ejen Red [PH] 6-2-0 Archaludon, Pelipper, Grimmsnarl, Charizard, Garchomp, Venusaur
2 John Takezawa [PH] 4-4-0 Farigiraf, Kangaskhan, Staraptor, Primarina, Camerupt, Kingambit
3 Jem Reyes 4-3-0 Tyranitar, Excadrill, Heat Rotom, Sneasler, Indeedee ♀, Sceptile
4 Kent Gallana [PH] 4-3-0 Raichu, Whimsicott, Farigiraf, Mudsdale, Incineroar, Charizard

Ejen Red’s winning team was built around layered weather pressure and strong defensive pacing. Pelipper brought Drizzle, Sitrus Berry, Tailwind, and Wide Guard, giving the team speed control and a way to protect key turns. Archaludon used Leftovers with Stamina and a Calm nature, carrying Electro Shot, Flash Cannon, Dragon Pulse, and Protect, making it the clearest sustained-positioning piece on the roster.

The offensive side had several distinct angles. Charizard held Charizardite Y with Solar Power and ran Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Hurricane, and Protect, while Venusaur used Focus Sash with Chlorophyll, Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, Sleep Powder, and Protect. Garchomp added Garchompite Z pressure with Draco Meteor, Power Gem, and Earth Power. Grimmsnarl rounded the team out with Light Clay, Prankster, Spirit Break, Light Screen, Reflect, and Parting Shot, giving Ejen Red a straightforward way to reduce damage while cycling board control.

Across the top teams, Farigiraf stood out as one of the most common support Pokemon. John Takezawa used Colbur Berry Farigiraf with Armor Tail, Trick Room, Helping Hand, and Ally Switch, while Kent Gallana used Electric Seed Farigiraf with Helping Hand, Trick Room, Expanding Force, and Skill Swap. Arnie Fuentes also had Sitrus Berry Farigiraf in fifth, again with Armor Tail and Trick Room.

Focus Sash was also heavily represented. Ejen Red’s Venusaur, Jem Reyes’s Excadrill, Kent Gallana’s Whimsicott, Marv Adrian Panuncillo’s Glimmora, Louie John Valencia’s Glimmora, and Vinz Enjel Punay’s Basculegion all used Focus Sash. That spread suggests players valued guaranteed action from important attackers or support Pokemon more than raw item power in many slots.

There were also several repeat offensive cores and role players near the top. Charizard appeared on both the winning team and Kent Gallana’s fourth-place team, each with Charizardite Y. Archaludon and Garchomp appeared together on both Ejen Red’s first-place team and Arnie Fuentes’s fifth-place team. Sneasler showed up on Jem Reyes, Marv Adrian Panuncillo, and Vinz Enjel Punay teams, with White Herb and Unburden on all three versions. Kingambit also appeared on John Takezawa, Louie John Valencia, and Vinz Enjel Punay teams, consistently offering Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch pressure.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with clear speed control, damage mitigation, and a Focus Sash plan, because the top teams here were rarely relying on offense alone.
