SpikeShock’s winning team was centered on Psychic Terrain pressure, with Indeedee using Psychic Surge and Choice Scarf alongside Expanding Force, and Meowstic ♀ carrying Meowsticite, Competitive, and its own Expanding Force. That gives the team a clear special attacking core that can punish opponents trying to lower stats while also threatening terrain-boosted damage.
The rest of the squad rounded that out with several layers of flexibility. Excadrill held Excadrite with Mold Breaker and a Jolly nature, using High Horsepower, Iron Head, Throat Chop, and Protect as the primary physical piece. Sylveon added Pixilate Hyper Voice and Round, giving the team another spread-oriented attacker that does not rely on Psychic coverage. Sinistcha brought Psychic Seed, Hospitality, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Matcha Gotcha, giving the composition redirection and an alternate speed mode. Umbreon provided the most defensive utility on the team with Sitrus Berry, Inner Focus, Foul Play, Snarl, Taunt, and Reflect.
Across the top teams, Indeedee was one of the defining Pokemon. SpikeShock, INMATE4587 [IN], and Light_Kaganou [IN] all used Psychic Surge, with Expanding Force appearing on the first- and second-place Indeedee sets. Trick Room and Imprison also showed up repeatedly on Indeedee variants, making it both an enabler and a direct answer to opposing speed control.
Excadrill was another major constant. It appeared on the first three teams and also on Ceres [PH] and TitanoPigro3 [IT] in the top six. Mold Breaker was used across those listed Excadrill sets, though the items varied from Excadrite to Focus Sash, Choice Scarf, and Iron Ball.
Sinistcha also had a strong showing, appearing on each of the top three teams. Rage Powder was common on those sets, while Trick Room appeared on SpikeShock’s and Werma985 [IT]’s versions. Fairy Feather appeared on SpikeShock’s Sylveon and Werma985 [IT]’s Whimsicott, while Meowsticite and Floettite were important Mega-style anchors for multiple high finishers.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Psychic Surge cores, Mold Breaker Excadrill, and redirection-backed speed control when building for Regulation Set M-C.
