IMPDamato’s winning team was built around a flexible mix of speed control, Fake Out pressure, and high-damage attackers. Floette carried Floettite with Flower Veil and a Modest nature, using Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Calm Mind, and Protect. That gave the team a Fairy-type focal point that could either apply immediate spread pressure or use Calm Mind when supported by positioning tools.
The support structure around it was straightforward and effective. Rillaboom brought Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, Superpower, and Fake Out, giving the team priority pressure and another way to control turns. Salamence added Salamencite, Intimidate, Tailwind, Hyper Voice, Flamethrower, and Protect, functioning as both speed control and a spread attacker. Tyranitar’s Chople Berry and Sand Stream set gave the roster a bulky Rock Slide user with Knock Off, High Horsepower, and Protect.
The last two slots gave IMPDamato additional closing power. Gholdengo used Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect, while Sneasler had White Herb, Unburden, Close Combat, Dire Claw, Rock Tomb, and Fake Out. Between Tailwind, Fake Out from two Pokemon, Rock Tomb, and multiple Protect users, the team had several ways to create safe attacking turns rather than relying on one linear mode.
Across the top teams, Rillaboom was one of the clearest repeat picks, appearing on IMPDamato, RobstarZ, Dothemario, and SmeargleLover. Incineroar was also heavily represented, appearing on RobstarZ, karlin22, 415jason, and SmeargleLover, always pairing Intimidate with Fake Out and Parting Shot somewhere in the moveset. Salamence showed up on IMPDamato, Dothemario, and SmeargleLover, all using Salamencite and Tailwind.
Several other patterns stood out. Basculegion appeared on both grettathunberg and RobstarZ with Adaptability, Aqua Jet, Last Respects, and Protect. Whimsicott appeared on grettathunberg and Yoshi8814 as a Prankster Tailwind option. Pawmot appeared on grettathunberg and 415jason with Revival Blessing. Sitrus Berry was used by Incineroar, Sinistcha, and Volcarona across the listed top teams, while Focus Sash appeared on Whimsicott, Basculegion, Pawmot, and Hisuian Arcanine.
Takeaway for ladder players: prioritize teams that combine speed control, Fake Out, and multiple Protect users so your main attackers get consistent safe turns.
