R3AL’s winning team was built around flexible weather pressure and strong defensive positioning. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Solar Power, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Hurricane, and Protect gave the team immediate sun-based offense, while Politoed with Mystic Water, Drizzle, Weather Ball, Muddy Water, Ice Beam, and Protect added a second weather mode. That pairing also supported Archaludon, whose Leftovers, Stamina, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Snarl, and Protect set gave the team a durable special attacker with disruption through Snarl.

The rest of the roster rounded out the speed and damage control. Farigiraf carried Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Trick Room, Psychic, Grass Knot, and Protect, giving R3AL a way to play slower board states while blocking priority interaction through Armor Tail. Grimmsnarl’s Light Clay, Prankster, Reflect, Light Screen, Parting Shot, and Spirit Break made the team much harder to break, especially alongside Archaludon and Golisopod. Golisopod with Golisopite, Emergency Exit, Adamant nature, Drill Run, Iron Head, Leech Life, and Protect provided physical coverage and a second bulky attacking lane.

Across the top four, Charizard was the defining constant. Every top-four team used Charizard with Charizardite Y, and Weather Ball appeared on all four Charizard sets. The exact coverage varied: R3AL and AdityaKS used Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Hurricane, Protect; Yugansh used Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, Protect; and KYromaX used Weather Ball, Hurricane, Heat Crash, Protect.

Archaludon was another major trend, appearing on R3AL, AdityaKS, and KYromaX with Leftovers and Stamina each time. Grimmsnarl was also on those same three teams, always with Light Clay and Prankster, and always using the core of Light Screen, Reflect, Parting Shot, and Spirit Break. R3AL and KYromaX had especially similar structures, both using Golisopod, Charizard, Politoed, Archaludon, Grimmsnarl, and Farigiraf.

Weather stacking was common near the top. R3AL and KYromaX both used Politoed with Mystic Water and Drizzle, while AdityaKS used Pelipper with Sitrus Berry and Drizzle alongside Charizard and Venusaur. Yugansh differed from the other top teams by leaning into Eternal Flower Floette, Basculegion, Garchomp, Whimsicott, and Kingambit, with Whimsicott providing Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Charizardite Y weather teams with screens, Archaludon, and either Trick Room or Tailwind support.
