Zoro_Sola’s winning team combined several of the event’s clearest structural trends: Prankster support, rain offense, Intimidate pressure, and multiple strong physical attackers. Sableye held Light Clay with Prankster and carried Light Screen, Reflect, Encore, and Fake Out, giving the team immediate disruption while extending defensive setup. That support gave Salamence and Swampert room to operate as the two Mega options, with Salamence using Salamencite, Intimidate, Hyper Voice, Draco Meteor, Protect, and Tailwind, while Swampert used Swampertite with Wave Crash, Earthquake, Protect, and Ice Punch.
The rain mode came from Pelipper with Focus Sash, Drizzle, Protect, Weather Ball, Hurricane, and Wide Guard. That set pairs naturally with Swampert’s Water pressure while also giving the team Wide Guard into spread damage. Milotic added a second bulky Water-type angle with Sitrus Berry, Competitive, Scald, Ice Beam, Recover, and Protect, making opposing stat drops more costly. Metagross rounded out the six with Life Orb, Clear Body, Psychic Fangs, Bullet Punch, Iron Head, and Protect, giving Zoro_Sola priority and another attacker that did not rely on rain being active.
Across the top teams, Sableye was one of the defining support Pokemon. All of the top two teams used Prankster Sableye, and the first, fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth-place teams all included Light Clay or similar screen-oriented support somewhere in the build. Zoro_Sola and erichmr both used Light Clay Sableye with Reflect and Light Screen, while Whayron and gdftgf019 also used Light Clay Sableye with the same dual-screen core.
Pelipper was another major trend. Zoro_Sola, LJR_333, erichmr, Whayron, gdftgf019, and Neves all used Drizzle Pelipper, with Weather Ball and Hurricane appearing repeatedly. Tailwind was common on Pelipper sets from LJR_333, erichmr, Whayron, gdftgf019, and Neves, while Zoro_Sola instead fit Tailwind on Salamence and used Wide Guard on Pelipper.
Swampertite also appeared frequently near the top, with Zoro_Sola, LJR_333, Whayron, gdftgf019, and Neves all using Swampert. Salamencite was similarly present on Zoro_Sola, erichmr, Whayron, and gdftgf019. Milotic with Competitive appeared on three of the top four teams, using Sitrus Berry for Zoro_Sola and aerxdri, and Leftovers for erichmr.
Takeaway for ladder players: rain plus Prankster Sableye support was the most consistent shell in these results, but the best versions still packed flexible speed control and multiple damage routes.
