mir_merchant’s winning team was built around strong board control and multiple setup threats. Rillaboom supplied Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, and U-turn, while Incineroar added Intimidate, Fake Out, Helping Hand, Throat Chop, and Parting Shot. That gave the team two consistent ways to disrupt positioning while enabling its heavier attackers.
Volcarona was the clearest beneficiary of the structure, carrying Grassy Seed with Flame Body and Quiver Dance alongside Flamethrower, Bug Buzz, and Protect. With Rillaboom on the field, Volcarona had a natural route into boosted endgames. Eternal Flower Floette also filled a setup role with Calm Mind, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect, giving the team another special attacker that could pressure both single targets and spread damage.
The other half of the team kept opponents from freely answering those lines. Raichu used Raichunite Y with Lightning Rod, Timid nature, Zap Cannon, Encore, Focus Blast, and Protect, offering redirection utility through its ability and disruption through Encore. Gholdengo rounded out the roster as a Life Orb Good as Gold attacker with Shadow Ball, Make It Rain, Nasty Plot, and Protect, giving mir_merchant another immediate special damage option that could also set up.
Across the top cut of standings, Rillaboom was one of the defining presences. It appeared on the teams of mir_merchant, MarvVGC, ojifijod, StoneStormVGC, and Llama_Llord, with Grassy Surge and Fake Out showing up repeatedly.
