Dot1Q’s winning team stood out for how many modes it could access without giving up immediate damage. Dragonite carried Dragoninite with Inner Focus and Tailwind, giving the team a fast mode while still offering Dragon Pulse, Heat Wave, and Extreme Speed. Armarouge gave the other side of the speed equation with Leftovers, Flash Fire, Calm Mind, and Trick Room, pairing naturally with Quiet Torkoal.
Torkoal was the clearest centerpiece when the team wanted to play under Trick Room. Charcoal and Drought backed Eruption and Heat Wave, while Earth Power and Protect kept it from being one-dimensional. The composition also had strong support for positioning: Maushold used Wide Lens with Technician, Population Bomb, Bite, Follow Me, and Protect, giving Dot1Q both redirection and real offensive pressure from the support slot.
The double Defiant core was another important part of the team’s structure. Choice Scarf Annihilape with Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Seed Bomb, and Ice Punch gave fast physical coverage, while Life Orb Kingambit brought Iron Head, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, and Protect. With both Annihilape and Kingambit carrying Defiant, the team was well equipped to punish Intimidate attempts from common Salamence and Incineroar structures.
Across the upper standings, Rillaboom was the biggest recurring presence. Six of the top eight teams used Rillaboom, and every one of those sets used Miracle Seed with Grassy Surge. Kingambit also remained a major fixture, appearing on five of the top eight teams with Defiant on every listed set. Salamence was the most common mega-style attacker among these results, appearing four times with Salamencite and Intimidate.
Several item patterns were also clear. Chople Berry appeared on Kingambit three times in the top eight, while Focus Sash showed up on Weavile, Alolan Ninetales, Kingambit, and Hisuian Arcanine. Sitrus Berry was common on Incineroar and Farigiraf, and Farigiraf itself appeared three times with Armor Tail and Trick Room. Grassy Seed support was split across Sneasler and Milotic, showing how often teams used Grassy Terrain beyond Rillaboom’s own attacks.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Miracle Seed Rillaboom, Defiant Kingambit, and Salamencite Salamence, but do not ignore flexible speed control teams like Dot1Q’s Tailwind plus Trick Room build.
