˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour results recap

The ˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour was played on 2026-11-06 on Limitless, drawing 24 players for Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. justasillyyoshi [AU] finished first in the standings at 7-1-0, ahead of NYR [JP] at 6-2-0. The reported final round matches were nyr over abp123, nyr over pokeopposition, and pokeopposition over nickmint.

Place Player Record Team
1 justasillyyoshi [AU] 7-1-0 Gholdengo / Staraptor / Raichu / Milotic / Rillaboom / Hisuian Arcanine
2 NYR [JP] 6-2-0 Sneasler / Whimsicott / Charizard / Kingambit / Garchomp / Froslass
3 Mona_Aster 4-3-0 Gengar / Rillaboom / Incineroar / Politoed / Archaludon / Swampert
4 PokeOpposition [US] 4-3-0 Tyranitar / Excadrill / Gholdengo / Sneasler / Corviknight / Rillaboom

justasillyyoshi’s winning team was built around layered pressure rather than a single obvious mode. Gholdengo was the main special attacker, using Life Orb with Good as Gold, Modest, and the standard pressure package of Nasty Plot, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, and Protect. That gave the team a direct way to convert board control into heavy spread damage.

The support shell was compact but effective. Staraptor brought Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team speed control while still threatening Close Combat and Brave Bird. Raichu added Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid, Fake Out, and Protect, with Zap Cannon and Focus Blast as its attacking options. Between Staraptor and Raichu, justasillyyoshi had multiple ways to shape the opening turn without relying only on raw damage.

Milotic was one of the more distinctive pieces on the team. Leftovers, Competitive, Calm, Muddy Water, Hypnosis, Protect, and Coil point toward a set that can stay on the field and become harder to ignore over time. Rillaboom supplied Grassy Surge, Miracle Seed, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and High Horsepower, giving the team priority, terrain utility, and a physical Grass attacker. Hisuian Arcanine rounded the six out with Focus Sash, Rock Head, Head Smash, Flare Blitz, Protect, and Extreme Speed, adding immediate damage and priority cleanup.

Across the top four, Rillaboom was the clearest recurring Pokemon, appearing on the first, third, and fourth place teams. Miracle Seed appeared on all three of those Rillaboom sets, though PokeOpposition’s used Overgrow rather than Grassy Surge. Gholdengo also showed up twice in the top four, and both versions used Life Orb, Good as Gold, Nasty Plot, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, and Protect.

Sneasler was another repeated threat, appearing on NYR’s and PokeOpposition’s teams with White Herb and Unburden. Focus Sash was spread across several roles, including Hisuian Arcanine, Whimsicott, and Excadrill. The top four also showed a wide range of mega item choices, with Staraptite, Raichunite Y, Charizardite Y, Froslassite, Gengarite, Swampertite, and Tyranitarite all represented.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Rillaboom plus fast pressure, but do not overfocus on one archetype in Regulation Set M-C.
