| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Smogolem | 6-2-0 | Golurk, Farigiraf, Sneasler, Garchomp, Torkoal, Vileplume |
| 2 | John S | 6-2-0 | Eternal Flower Floette, Volcarona, Basculegion, Rillaboom, Incineroar, Raichu |
| 3 | malyssious [US] | 6-1-0 | Staraptor, Raichu, Rillaboom, Gholdengo, Primarina, Hisuian Arcanine |
| 4 | Mhew | 4-3-0 | Raichu, Incineroar, Sinistcha, Kommo-o, Kingambit, Delphox |
Smogolem’s winning team was built around multiple speed modes rather than committing to one plan. Farigiraf brought Trick Room with Armor Tail, giving the team a way to reposition slower attackers while also blocking opposing priority. That pairs naturally with Golurk holding Life Orb, which had Headlong Rush, Poltergeist, Ice Punch, and Protect, plus Torkoal with Charcoal, Drought, Eruption, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, and Protect.
The other side of the team used sun pressure more actively. Vileplume had Focus Sash, Chlorophyll, After You, Giga Drain, Sleep Powder, and Sludge Bomb, letting it function as both a disruption piece and an enabler for Torkoal. Sneasler’s set was also distinctive: Iron Ball, Unburden, Adamant, with Fake Out, Close Combat, Gunk Shot, and Fling. That gave Smogolem another form of immediate pressure and utility without overlapping too heavily with the rest of the composition. Garchomp rounded things out with Garchompite Z, Rough Skin, Timid, and a special attacking set of Draco Meteor, Earth Power, Power Gem, and Protect.
Across the top teams, Raichu was one of the clearest trends. John S and malyssious [US] both used Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Fake Out, and Protect, while Mhew used Raichu with Raichunite X, Lightning Rod, Jolly, Volt Tackle, Volt Switch, Feint, and Fake Out. Raichu also appeared in 7th on Migota’s team with Raichunite X.
The familiar Fake Out cores were also prominent. Incineroar appeared on John S, Mhew, KST| KAMPFI [DE], Caio A [BR], Migota, and Nema95 [DE], and every listed Incineroar used Sitrus Berry with Intimidate. Rillaboom showed up on John S, malyssious [US], Caio A [BR], and Nema95 [DE], always with Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge. That made repeated Fake Out pressure a major theme of the upper standings.
Other repeated picks included Eternal Flower Floette on John S, KST| KAMPFI [DE], and Caio A [BR]; Sneasler on Smogolem, KST| KAMPFI [DE], and Caio A [BR]; Kingambit on Mhew, KST| KAMPFI [DE], and Caio A [BR]; and Sinistcha on Mhew, KST| KAMPFI [DE], and Migota. Focus Sash also showed up on several important support or offensive slots, including Smogolem’s Vileplume, malyssious [US]’s Hisuian Arcanine, and Mhew’s Kingambit.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Fake Out-heavy teams, Raichu Lightning Rod support, and flexible speed control rather than only one linear mode.
