Luke C’s winning team is built around direct pressure backed by clean speed control. Whimsicott holds Focus Sash with Prankster and runs Protect, Encore, Moonblast, and Tailwind, giving the team a reliable way to set pace while still punishing passive turns with Encore. That matters because the rest of the team has several attackers that benefit from moving first.
Charizard is a Charizardite Y Modest attacker with Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Ancient Power, and Protect, giving the composition a strong special spread option. Basculegion adds Mystic Water and Adaptability pressure with Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Protect, including priority to finish targets outside of Tailwind turns. Kingambit supplies a Chople Berry Defiant mode with Sucker Punch, Iron Head, Kowtow Cleave, and Low Kick, while Garchomp brings Life Orb Rough Skin offense through Rock Slide, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, and Protect. Eternal Flower Floette rounds out the six with Floettite, Flower Veil, and three Fairy attacks in Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Light of Ruin alongside Protect.
Across the top teams, Incineroar remained one of the clearest staples. It appeared on Finnick’s, MagicDreams93’s, and enrivgc’s top-four teams, each using Intimidate and Fake Out with Parting Shot support. Sitrus Berry was also repeated on Incineroar for Finnick, MagicDreams93, and enrivgc, reinforcing its role as a durable pivot.
Kingambit also showed up on two of the top three teams, with Luke C using Chople Berry and MagicDreams93 using Black Glasses. Both versions shared Defiant, Adamant, Kowtow Cleave, and Sucker Punch, but Luke C leaned into coverage with Iron Head and Low Kick, while MagicDreams93 used Swords Dance and Protect.
Eternal Flower Floette was another notable presence, appearing on both Luke C’s and enrivgc’s teams with Floettite, Flower Veil, Modest nature, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect. Garchomp also placed twice in the top four, though Luke C used Life Orb with Earthquake while enrivgc used Choice Scarf with Stomping Tantrum and Rock Tomb. Rillaboom appeared on Finnick’s and enrivgc’s teams with Grassy Surge, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and Fake Out, but with different items in Life Orb and Miracle Seed.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for fast Tailwind offense, Incineroar pivoting, and repeated Dark/Fairy/Ground pressure from Kingambit, Eternal Flower Floette, and Garchomp.
